Time to Create Your Own Story

Time to Create Your Own Story
The purpose here is to write your story in a way that flows while answering each question in order.
There is a scientifically proven, psychologically driven structure to the layout of this story writing format.
So, after you have answered the following questions, read what you have written to see if it flows
appropriately. If not, you will need to add the proper transition event(s), sentence(s), and/or
situation(s) to make it flow congruently. If congruency doesn’t occur, it will sound choppy.
Going through this process will help you to understand your past, purpose, and why you are the person
you are today. Unless you truly know your purpose, you’re just spinning your wheels. We’re going to
work together to change that here today…starting with rewriting your story in a way that is empowering
to your life’s mission.
So now, you’re going to write your story following the format mentioned in the video:

The Vision
Let’s start with your ‘journey’ into your vision. As you begin to write the first aspect of your
story, which is your vision, be sure to speak in present tense to ensure that you’re taking the
listener into the actual experience. This gives them the experience of being the character (you).
In the subconscious of your listener(s), you’re starting the process of building rapport and
establishing credibility.
1. What was your vison into your story? In other words, what was the event or situation that
started you on your journey to transformation?

The Pit
What makes any story so powerful is the Pit moment. It could even be called the “climax” of the story.
When you first sharing your message with people, you will have reservations, like I did. What would
they think? Why am I not thankful for what I have? Will I be accepted by the world? What will
strangers think of me? Will my family and friends think less of me? Will people think I’m ungrateful?
Once you get over this hesitation of telling people about your Pit moment, you’ll see that it’s inspiring to
the listener. Your Pit moment equals transformation and vulnerability…and without it, there is no story.
2. What is your Pit moment?

The Quest
Your goal with the quest is to begin bringing your story from a negative emotion toward an emotion of
joy and positivity. As humans, we’re naturally attracted to stories of overcoming struggles and
determining a path of good intentions.
You start to create credibility for yourself and rapport with others by sharing how you came out of your
low point, AKA – the Pit moment.
3. What are your quest moments? What lead you out of your Pit? How did you feel during this
transformation?

The Revelation
The Revelation is the period of the story in which you ‘see the light’ as you go about your quest toward
something greater.
This “Ah-ha” moment is what gives you instant credibility. At first you were vulnerable in your Pit
moment and then you establish credibility with your audience by demonstrating how you were able to
pull yourself out of that low point and discover your solution.
Take life lessons from everything you have learned in life and realize that you have massive value to
bring to the world.
4. What is your moment of revelation? How did you feel after your transformation?

**As you wrap up your story, it doesn’t hurt to add a personal mission statement on the end.**
Your revelation is a time for reflection. It may, and it should, bring up some emotions that will make you
feel uncomfortable and vulnerable. This only makes you more understood, liked, respected, and
relatable. Because of that, you will attract more people and the kind of people that you want to be
around.
But keep in mind that your story absolutely must come from your perspective. Never change your story
based on the point-of-view in which you think someone has of it…that would mean that you’re being
untrue to yourself. In other words, don’t mold your story to fit into the limiting beliefs that someone
may or may not have of you.
5. What's your inner revelation? (How do you feel and view yourself once you have your “Ahha” moment? What’s your new insight into the world?)

Just to clarify, The Ripple Effect is felt by helping one person at a time transform their own lives and in
turn, they go out into the world and impact a countless number of other people…rippling my teachings
out into the world…impacting and changing the lives of people who need to experience a
transformation in their life so they can achieve things bigger and greater than they ever imagined.
7. What are the ‘Ripple Effects’ of your revelation? Who is effected the most by (Not just for
yourself, but for your friends, family, relationships, mankind, and for the planet overall?)

The Perspective
This is the time for you to analyze how these events of your past made you feel and how they impact
the person you are today. This is important to keep in mind as we move ahead because we’re going to
be diving deep into the past, present, and future…and how they all come together to form you into the
person you have become.

The thing you must realize is that your story absolutely must come from your perspective. Never change
your story based on the point-of-view in which you think someone has of it. In other words, don’t mold
your story to fit into the limiting beliefs that someone else has of you.
11. From who’s perspective is your story truly written?
___________________________________________________________________

___________________________________________________________________
As you reflect on your story, it may, and it should, bring up some emotions that will make you feel
uncomfortable and vulnerable. That’s perfectly fine. This only makes you more understood, liked,
respected, and relatable. And besides, being consciously aware of your emotions, no matter if they’re
good, bad, or otherwise, is a healthy part of reflection.
Remember, the story you’re telling yourself now may be true but it's not effective. You should have just
changed that today. The story that you just wrote about yourself should be 100% true to you and
about you and in a way and style that is empowering to your goals when you tell it. When your story
is ineffective, it kills your drive and hunger. The ineffective story that you tell yourself gives you an
excuse and a reason to NOT face challenges or to NOT take action to better your situation.
That's because you keep reverting back to the same old story that's limiting your beliefs and keeping you
imprisoned in your ineffective story. That “story imprisonment” keeps you from making effective
changes. If you change your story, your perspective changes, and therefore your life changes.
Remember, your story is directly correlated with your perception of yourself and the world. If your
perception of the world is that people are beautiful and amazing, then the things that you will see and
accomplish will be directly correlated with those beautiful and amazing emotions. But, if your
perception is that people are stupid and incompetent, then you're going to constantly live in a state
where you are easily aggravated and frustrated. Both perceptions are directly correlated with what you
focus on in your life, hence the story that you tell yourself and others, and the people that surround you.
12. Are you living your life from a positive or negative perspective? Give an example.

Now that you have written out your story, the next video and worksheet is going to help you refine it.
It’s going to dive into the subconscious aspects within your story and help you to clarify who you are,
how you think, and why you are the person you are today. The benefit of this is to give you insight of
your “inner workings” so that you can make better decision as you go through your life.
