How to install and use the Dual Maps tool – (VBA version for ArcGIS 9.3.1)
A. Paste code into VBA Editor
1. Open LinktoDualMaps.txt
2. Select the entire code starting from Option Explicit through End Function at the very bottom
3. Right-click the selected text and copy
4. Open a new ArcMap document
5. Tools -> Macros -> Visual Basic Editor
6. Double-click ThisDocument located under Normal (Normal.mxt) -> ArcMap Objects

7. Paste the code (from step 3) in the window
8. Click File -> Save and close the Visual Basic editor.
B. Create and configure custom ArcMap Tool

Arc Map menu -> Tools -> Customize
Click the Commands tab
Scroll down to the bottom of the Categories list
Select [ UIControls ] and click NewUIControl…
5. Choose UIToolControl and click Create
6. Rename the new UIToolControl Normal.DualMap_Link (spelled exactly as shown)
7. Select Normal.DualMap_Link from the window and drag/drop it onto an ArcMap toolbar
8. (Optional) With the Customize dialog window still open, right-click the new button
toolbar and select Change Button Image to pick a different icon from the list.
9. Close the Customize window and begin using the tool.

Load any data layer into ArcMap that has a projected coordinate system.
Click on the Dual Map button.
Click a location within ArcMap.
Click Yes when the Launch Dual Maps? window appears.
5. A new Internet Explorer window opens with the Google & Bing maps for the location.
