Project Summary
EET Up! Is a social enterprise support project
and will support young people to turn their
business ideas into reality, developing personal
skills and confidence along the way . It will be
delivered in two stages.
Community Focus
Young offenders, young people
insecurely housed, looked after
young people, young people with
complex needs, young parents or
carers
A support model where former NEET young
people provide the support and mentorship of
others engaging in delivered learning provision.
The skills and learning from peers who have
completed the programme will pass on their
learning to other NEET young people. This model
will be based and run locally; where peer roles
are tightly supervised and supported by
experienced JAMES staff
Alongside existing JAMES bases in
Keighley, Fagley, Buttershaw and
Frizinghall.
BCB will engage 6-8 NEET young people from
across inner city Bradford wards to become
Community Radio reporters, reflecting youth
experience in Bradford. Using involvement in
community media as the innovative context and
catalyst for change, we will offer flexible,
intensive personalised training and support to
those individuals over the course of the project.
The project will have a focus on developing
appropriate communication and employability
skills , as well as self-confidence, self-awareness,
and self-esteem.
