The weekly meeting was called to order by President Sophia Huynh at _____ PM in Student Life and
Leadership. The roll was called by Secretary Alison Schlosser.

 USFC is hosting a GRE workshop Feb. 25th in PG153 8pm
 Sigma Alpha Zeta Krispy Kreme fundraiser Feb. 26 at North Library Walkway
 NPHC Yardshow Friday Feb. 28 at noon at the Aztec Student Union
o Kappa Alpha Psi is having a Yard Show After Party “Kappa Klimaxxx: Red & Black
Affair. Presales are $10; Party bus festivities $20. Starts at 9:11pm
 Lambda Sigma Gamma’s Mr. Greek Universe Feb. 28 7pm Presales $5, $7 at the door.
 Nu Alpha Kappa’s Gentlemen’s Auction Saturday March 1 at their house. Doors open at 8pm

o Monday: International Badge Day, so encourage your members to dress business casual
with their badge and Exec will be handing out flowers
 Sunday: Women’s Empowerment Event 12pm-3pm in Theatre

Pi Beta Phi and Phi Kappa Theta will not be participating in Greek Week this year.
Delta Zeta will now be on the Green Team (Los Angeles)

 Professional Development Workshop, THIS THURSDAY! February 27th from 5-7pm co-hosted
with IFC EVERYONE TELL YOUR CHAPTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
o Will host faculty from SDSU who were previously Greek talking about their success
stories and the importance of resumes, interview skills, professionalism etc.
o Exclusive for Greeks only, Google Forum will be emailed out this week to Presidents and
delegates (please post on FB discussion pages), FB event will be created please invite
people from your chapter. Only 100 spots.
 Professional Networking Workshop, Tentatively April 17th, open to community, bringing in
renowned guest speakers from business world, allowing time to mingle and talk about speaker’s
success story as well, More details to come.
 We will be in the process of collecting pictures/videos for an “Go Greek @ SDSU” promo video so
if your chapters have recent pics/videos from fundraisers, walks, etc. email them to me at
[email protected]

All Greek Basketball Game March 8th: (to collect video footage) and good PR for Greek community
to show Aztec Pride the last basketball game want to make “Greek Takeover” bball game where
everyone wears their letters so they will be featured in our promo video. Look out for FB event.
The Scholarship Director ([email protected]) Brittany Grover-Sidler reported:
Study Tips
 The goal of studying is to retain information. Retention rate is 60% higher when information is
reviewed within 24 hours of hearing. Study your notes within one day of taking them.
 Though an increasing amount of students listen to music while studying, a 2010 Applied
Cognitive Psychology study showed that participants who listened to music while studying had
the poorest recall abilities.

 everyone gets put in a raffle and one person will win a gift card

The Assistant Recruitment Director ([email protected]) Jerika Tidwell had no

The President ([email protected]) Sophia Huynh reported:
 Yvonne’s Last Day is THIS Thursday. If you have not stopped by and thanked her for her
dedication to the Greek Community, please do so. She will be missed!
o We still do not know if someone will be replacing her, therefore Jordan will be working
alone
o Please contact me, or Panhellenic Exec with general questions so that Jordan is not
overwhelmed, she should be the last to be contacted
 We were not able to donate money to the NEDA Walk because they needed the check on
Saturday and with AS we could not get it done in time
 Women’s Empowerment Event is Sunday, March 9 from 12pm-3pm in the Theatre!
The Panhellenic Advisor, Jordan Lewton ([email protected]) reported:
Greek Spring Recruitment
-Several chapters have sent me bids lists and I have responded with PNM eligibility statuses.
-If your chapter's PNMs have not received and accepted the electronic bids, someone will need to follow
up with me to make sure this is completed by the end next week.
-If your chapter plans to continuously recruit PNMs throughout the semester, please let me know at the
next Delegate/President meeting next week.

Each spring we have several thousand prospective families and students attend Explore SDSU. The
Greek community's involvement is an absolute privilege to be a part of and ranges from volunteering to
hosting chapter house tours.
As the Greek community continues to builds upon our standards of involvement, leadership, and
excellence overall, the opportunity to promote your chapter house is a unique opportunity to show what
our community has to offer. Please complete this form if your chapter is interested! Registration closes
at 11:59 pm on Sunday, March 23, 2014.

Student Success Fee Forums
Fraternity/sorority members are getting involved and learning about the proposed Student Success Fee
during open forums! There are several forums throughout the next few weeks - please encourage your
members to attend. If your members can't make the forums, contact AS to request a separate forum to be
presented to your chapter! Help your members be informed and involved student constituents!

G.A.M.M.A. Seminar
The 1st Seminar of the spring semester will be presented by Mother's Against Drunk Driving. Attendees
will contribute to their chapters Accreditation requirements.
