Dear Parent:
Congratulations to you and your child on his or her victory in the Knights of Columbus Free
Throw Championship District Contest!
The Regional contest for your area will be hosted by <Council Name & City>. It will be held at
<Facility Name><Facility Address>. Gym doors will open for registration at <Time> EST/CST. The
competition will start at <Time>. To reach <Facility Name>, <insert driving instructions here>.
We expect <# of Districts in Regional> shooters in each age group. Each will have an
opportunity to warm up, and then will shoot 25 free throws.
Please not several special rules. Boys and girls in age 9, 10, and 11 divisions will use a women’s
regulation-size ball and may shoot from a line 12 feet away from a standard basket. Girls in the age 12, 13,
and 14 divisions will use a women’s regulation-size ball and shoot from a line 15 feet away from a
standard basket. Boys in the age 12, 13, and 14 divisions will use a men’s regulations-size ball and shoot
from a line 15 feet away from a standard basket.
Each participant must have a copy of his or her birth certificate attached to their entry from.
If for some reason your child does not already have a copy attached to the entry form, please bring a copy
with you to the contest. The copy must accompany the winner’s form, to be eligible for the State Finals.
Each Regional Contest winner will receive an award and will advance to the Knights of Columbus
State Championship in Indianapolis.
