▶ Create an account
In order to buy at the website, click on the “Register new
customer” title above (top right). Once you have done so, you
will be assigned a customer ID and a password.
If you are already registered as a client with the site, you
should log in by entering your existing customer ID and
password. If you lose/forget your password, please contact
[email protected].
There are two types of membership in our auctions: PayPal
membership and Credit/Debit Card membership. Both of
them require you to own a Credit Card.
In addition, you can come at our Auction House to let us
handle the process in your presence for you and register you
with the site. Our Headquarters are found at the 2nd km of the
Agios Andonios - Souroti Road, in Souroti Area of Thessaloniki, Greece. To take advantage of this posibility you have
to arrange a meeting with Mr. Stavros Muronidis by calling
him on his phone at (0030)6971890212.
Slow Internet connections and workloads on your computer
may mean that the countdown is a few seconds out of sync
with the hammer price clock.
▶ Placing a bid
Our max bidding (also called automatic bidding) system
makes bidding convenient so you don’t have to keep coming
back to re-bid every time someone places another bid.
How max bidding, or automatic bidding works:
1.When you place a bid, you enter the maximum amount
you’re willing to pay for the item. The seller and other bidders don’t know your maximum bid.
2.We’ll place bids on your behalf using the automatic bid
increment amount, which is based on the current high bid.
We’ll bid only as much as necessary to make sure that you
remain the high bidder, up to your maximum amount.
3.If another bidder places the same maximum bid or higher,
we’ll notify you via e-mail so you can place another bid. Your
maximum bid is kept confidential until it is exceeded by
another bidder.
Credit/Debit Card Membership
In this type of membership a secure form must be filled with
the details of your credit card. The credit card details are kept
by our organization and when you win an auction through
our procedures, we will draw the amount of money charged
to your account. Please note that filling and submitting the
form means that you accept our Terms & Conditions and that
you accept to be charged in your credit card for everything
you buy.
Here’s an example:
Card and personal details will only be used if you submit a
successful bid at one of Myro Antiques House online auctions, and you only need to register your personal details
once – when you first resgister as a new customer.
All account information will, subsequently, be stored in our
website’s database, and it is possible to change the information on the “MyAccount” profile of yours.
3.Tom’s bid is raised to his maximum of €12.00. Laura’s
bid is now €12.50.
PayPal Membership
Selecting this kind of membership you will be asked to enter
your PayPal credentials or to register through a standard
form for a PayPal service. Once you register or login with
your PayPal service, you must deliver a guarantee pay of 300
euros. This is a yearly fee, and is given back by the end of the
year (after 365 days have passed after the initial payment).
Any amount charged into your profile due to your acquisitions via our site can then be paid through your PayPal Account within 3 day. Also, you will be given the option alternatively to pay us directly at our Bank Account, by depositing
the money in a bank, also within 3 days. Alternatively you
can pay the amount due in cash in our premises in Souroti,
Thessaloniki. Failure to pay the amount due within 3 days
with one of the above ways means that you will lose the yearly deposit of 300 euros, as well as the objects you have won
in the auction and have failed to pay for. In addition, you will
not be gratified the right to bid in our auctions ever again.
Please note that the winning bid is conclusive and cannot be
cancelled or altered.
1.The current bid for an item is €10.00, with bid increment
€0,50. Tom is the high bidder, and has placed a maximum
bid of €12.00 on the item. His maximum bid is kept confidential from other members.
2.Laura views the item and places a maximum bid of
€15.00. Laura becomes the high bidder.
We send Tom an email that he has been outbid. If he
doesn’t raise his maximum bid, Laura wins the item.
▶ What happens if another bidder bids with the same
amount as the (auto)bid you have already placed?
This is normal and occurs when a bidder has bid earlier in
this high amount, that another bidder has now reached, or
came along and made their bid at the exact same amount the
current bid is at. Since the bid of the first one was placed earlier, that is the bid that will succeed. For the second bidder to
succeed in placing a bid, they must bid higher than the proxy
bid that is in effect.
▶ Monitoring the process
You can view your bid in the bidding history at your profile
(“MyAccount”) where all your history of actions with our
website is also available. Also, you will be sent an email message each time an action takes place in the auction of a Lot
you are bidding; this will both confirm your actions/bids and
show any other activity from other bidders regarding this
items.
▶ Payment
If you submit the successful bid for one or more articles at
an online auction, after each auction day you will receive a
confirmation by email containing an invoice. The invoice will
also appear in the “MyAccount”. The final price will be added
the proper tax (the standard 23% for all goods, and a 6.5%
for books). Along with the purchased items in case you use a
transportation, or in case you collect yourself from our premises, you will receive a final invoice or receipt, in accordance
to your preference.
▶ Collection
If you have purchased items at Myro Antiques House, they
have to be collected no later than the second week after the
end of the auction. Purchased items/goods can be collected
from our premises in Souroti, Thessaloniki or by contacting

transportation.

with a third party company after the deadline of purchase an

If you possess an item you wish to sell via our auctions,
you should take some good pictures of the item/items and
send it to us for valuation with an email at myro.antiques.
[email protected]. Then we will contact you to discuss our
terms about the specific item, value, starting prices, and to
propose at which of our auctions (e.g. the electronic, or even
the physical one that is held every 2 months in our premises)
should this item be included. The standard auction commis-
sion that apply is 30% of the final price.
In case you are unable to deliver yourself the items to be
included in one of your auctions, you will be asked to provide

items are your property, and that you agree that they will be
auctioned by our House. The seller warrants to be the sole
and true owner of the deposited goods and that the right to
dispose of them are unlimited by any third party claim. The
seller is obligated to pass on to Myro Antiques House all information pertaining to the deposited goods in order that the
lot may be described as accurately as possible in the auction
website.
When submitting items for auction you will be given a receipt. If the articles are delivered by a transportation company or other method, we will send a receipt.
If the items you brought or send us are sold, you will receive
your payments via the bank you have previously stated,2
weeks after the auction, unless you come by our premises to
collect the money within this time, arranging a meeting.
Within a week from the conclusion of the auction, the seller
must inform Myro Antiques House whether unsold Lots
are to be put up for auction again at a reduced estimate or
whether they will be taken back. If a lot is not claimed as
agreed, a storage fee will be charged.
When a sale at auction has been agreed upon, lots may be
withdrawn under exceptional circumstances only.
Any dispute between the parties, arising in connection with
depositing and sale etc. of a Lot, shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Greek courts.
NOTE: Any transport charges between Myro Antiques House
and the seller must be paid by the seller.
