OFFICIAL 2017 PLG BASKETBALL GAME RULES
1. All team members must have the same color jerseys or use jerseys provided by PLG. If two
competing teams have the same color jerseys, a coin toss will determine who will wear the jerseys
provided by PLG.
2. Games will have two 16 minute halves.
3. Clock will stop on every whistle with 2 minutes remaining in the game.
4. One plus one bonus free throws will be shot after the 7th team foul of each HALF. Two bonus free
throws will be awarded after the 10th team foul of each HALF.
5. Substitutions are made AFTER the referee whistles for the player to enter. The score-keeper will
notify the referee of a substitution request during the game.
6. ALTERNATE POSSESSION:
a. Possession changes after every jump ball.
b. The team with the possession arrow at the end of the first half will have possession to start the
second half.
7. NO DUNKING ALLOWED. Any team dunking will lose possession of the basketball.
8. Each team will be allowed 4 time-outs per game.
9. 3 minute overtime. First team to score in 2nd overtime wins.
10. Technical fouls will result with 2 points and possession given to the team not committing the foul.
11. A second technical foul called on an individual player will result with an ejection.
12. All protests must be brought to the score table prior to tip-off. PLG Basketball Committee will
review and make the final decision based on 2017 Tournament Guidelines.
