proteine grown in Europe.Vegme is a sister brand to Genuine Smoke.
In a very short while Vegme has been popular among leading restaurant wholesalers and also the food chain City Gross all stores
also in grocery bags, SJ, Birka Line shipping company, the famous star chef Melker Andersson with several restaurants and
Caterings companys.
- Our passion is product development. We have friends and family that eat vegetarian choices so we thought that we wanted to
work with vegetarian and vegan foods, says Pia Schönemyr. The main reason is the environment, but we ourselves also eat a lot of
vegetarian and vegan foods. We liked to make ingredients that are equivalent to chicken and meat.
After a years of product developement Vegme does now see the daylight. Its an exciting choice in the rapidly emerging vegetarian
food culture. The Vegme range contains a number of environmentally friendly, exciting and all easy to prepare products that is
perfect as well for lunch, lunch box as at the dinner table and party.
Vegme is fresh and available in the variants: burgare-, bites- pulled-, and juicy mince.

The number of vegetarians, vegans and “flexitarians” are increasing rapidly, says Pia.
This as an important development to pay attention and respond to.
“Genuine Smoke” cold-smoked water and cold-smoked rapeseed oil and other natural components are used to create the right texture and taste in the soy protein, this is used in a unique and proprietary process.

- It is not to create a smoky flavour but using the Genuine Smoke delicacies with its low pH, rich flavor it provides soy protein a unique texture and flavor, says Pia. We are getting an unique texture and a rich flavor that is not like anything else we tasted.
