Dear Volunteer,
Thank you for your service to Santa Clara County Parks.
We hope you will help us keep records of volunteer hours donated to County Parks by tracking
and submitting your own hours. These hours help measure two important things: 1. the impact
you have in County Parks and 2. the success of the Volunteer Program. In addition, these
records allow us to fully recognize you for your generous donation of time.
Santa Clara County Parks will formally recognize and reward exceptional performance and
outstanding contributions made by hard working volunteers during each calendar year. Our
Program offers many types of recognition to active volunteers and different awards will be given
for hourly milestones reached. If you volunteer 5 or more hours, you will be invited to the
annual Barbeque Recognition Event where you will receive an annual recognition item as
appreciation for your contributions. If you donate more than 100 volunteer service hours you
will be eligible to receive an annual Venture Pass. Furthermore, if you contribute enough hours
you will be awarded a Presidential Service Award, which rewards you for a lifetime of service
through presidential recognition.
Santa Clara County Parks is grateful for the contributions all volunteers make in our community,
and meaningful recognition is a vital element to retaining valuable volunteers and to help
ensure quality programs. Thank you for helping us to track the hours you spend caring for
County Parks!

How To Enter Volunteer Hours Online !
**You must enter your information at “Request Information” tab prior
to entering your hours. After you do this you may enter hours in a
couple of hours.
1. Start at:
WWW.PARKHERE.ORG

You are now
on the Parks
home page!
3. Click on the “Volunteer ” link on the center of the
screen.

Then click
on “Enter
Hours
Served”
5. To enter
hours served
first enter your
“User Name”
and
“Volunteer”.
** Your user name is first and
last name run together.
Example: BobbySmith

Then hit “OK”
** If you have trouble logging on please give us a call (408) 918-4930 so we can check your
password or email us at [email protected]

Choose the event
that you wish to
log your hours
towards, by
highlighting the
event then hit
“OK”
8.
Fill in the date &
hours in the upper
box.
Add any specific
message you would
like to add in the
bottom box such as
event name and then
hit
“OK”.
9.
When you are all
done this screen
will appear.
