Dangers
Professional analysis showed that the pitch and proportions of the plug pins don’t comply with the
applicable Czech technical standard. If the light with the unsuitable AC adapter is used, there is a threat
of an injury with electric current in the consequence of an unintentional contact with the bare pin part.
There are other parts with insufficient isolation inside of the light which is why there is a risk of injury by
electric current if the isolation is damaged.
Imposed measures
The Czech Trade Inspection Authority ordered the inspected person to stop further distribution of the
rechargeable light JY SURET, model JY-8299, and its withdrawal from distribution. The product was
subsequently notified in the RAPEX database, ref. No. A11/0010/16.
