Re: Entry Barrier Gate Repair
Below are some photos of the work made on the entry barrier gate, the logic box was modify unrepairable and
rust inside it damaged components and connections. I replaced it by advanced replacement one [used] but in
working condition. The AC motor capacitor is under range as you can see in the photo. I will order the original
one for this motor and the cover.
I cleaned the concrete pad around the gate and gate body; painted it black to protect from rust. Also, fixed
ENRONE Multi-user Receiver there had bad connection, you need to have master transmitter to program this
unit or PC-COM Software to program resident transmitter and if you install it on the guard house PC you can
have live monitoring of all transmitters transactions.
The wires on the toggle switches are terribly protected with electrical tape and one with electrical cord. I can
run wires inside the wall and put there a push button. Checked some transmitters and they are working fine. I
left outside the guard house old logic box on Jul 04 for your inspection.
Before departing I checked gates for several minutes, it was working properly. Informed guard how it operates:
If the resident does not have the clicker and MP sticker, the guard needs to open and close the existing toggle
switch to open resident gate, after the car passes the closing loop gate will close automatically
It would be better to put a push button so that the guards do not keep gate on the open position.
Guards need to do this for each car if they forgot to turn to close position and resident car passes, then the gate
will remain open till the next car passes thru the closing loop.
Also next to the barrier gate is a sign "CAUTION GATE LOWERS AFTER EACH VEHICLE" the cars need to
wait till second signal from guard house or resident transmitter after closing cycle.
The DVR keep recording videos for only 4 days, cameras need to be clean glasses for better view.
