Statement of compliance (RoHS-II, WEEE and REACH) Statement of RoHS-II compliance The Council of The European Union and The European Parliament has issued a directive known as Directive 2011/65/EU of 8 June 2011 on Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS-II). Electrical and electronic equipment means equipment which is dependent on electrical currents or electromagnetic fields in order to work properly and equipment for the generation, transfer and measurement of such currents and fields and designed for use with a voltage not exceeding 1000 Volts for AC and 1500 Volts for DC All Minkels products offered to our clients are RoHS-II compliant. Statement of WEEE compliance The Council of The European Union and The European Parliament also has issued a directive known as the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (2002/96/EC). The WEEE applies to a wide range of electronic and electrical products. WEEE encourages the collection, treatment, recycling and recovery of waste electrical and electronic equipment. WEEE makes producers and importers responsible for financing of the collection, treatment and recovery of WEEE. However WEEE legislation is drafted and implemented separately in each of the 27 EU Member States. Under the proposed Dutch Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations, for equipment that you buy from Minkels in The Netherlands, Minkels has established a recycling contract with the ‘Stichting RTA’ and will cover any costs of treatment, recycling and recovery of the equipment on arrival at the ‘Stichting RTA’ facility in The Netherlands. In our offer the costs of treatment, recycling and recovery of the equipment are calculated. If you decide to buy new equipment, you have the possibility to offers the old equipment for recycling and recovery. You are able to do that via www.stichtingrta.nl. Statement of REACH compliance The Council of The European Union and The European Parliament also has issued a directive known as the Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemical substances and products Directive (EC 1907/2006). The REACH process will review some 30,000 chemical substances and register and restrict those that are determined to pose specific carcinogenic and reproductive health risks to humans. Minkels supports the overall REACH objective of improving the protection of human health and the environment and will meet all applicable REACH requirements. Minkels and all is strongly committed to working with customers and supply chain to define and implement the REACH requirements and ensure a smooth transition to compliance. Declaration Regarding REACH Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) Minkels Declaration Regarding the REACH “Duty to Communicate Information on Substances in Articles”* The delivered product and product packaging, based on Minkels’ knowledge, do not contain chemical substances included on the initial candidate list** in a concentration above 0.1% weight by weight (w/w).
