WP4: Valorisation of algae biomass

Objectives: optimisation of harvesting, biomass refinements, develope and demonstrate animal feed, coatings and
adhesives, 3D printing
Results / pending:
 optimisation of harvesting
 biomass refinements
 animal feed trials: need to adapt to situation
o Produmix new numbers and proposed changes (no need for PO approval probably):
o testing for fish meal and antimicrobial activity (instead of soya replacement and omega 3);
o partners need to send algae (200g dry sample);
o NEW CALCULATIONS-is this acceptable/feasible for partners to provide? Fish meal: 76,5kg needed,
AB: 64,6 kg algae needed (141 kg total, previously: 533 kg)
o Archimede sent 150kg of algae for tests;
 Coatings: what has been done?
 3D printing, progress?
