Timberwolves play team ball in victory
The Timberwolves showed great movement and demonstrated unselfish play as they
shared the wealth in the 37-13 victory over the Thunder.
Five players scored multiple baskets as the Timberwolves assisted on almost half the
baskets. Pin point passing and red hot shooting was what lifted the Timberwolves as Marvin
Townsend (22 points, 16 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal) was unstoppable, while Santino
Christopher (3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals) found open teammates Richard Matyevich (4
points) and Seth Connery (6 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist) for baskets. The Thunder picked up
points from Henry Hughes (6 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steals), Dylan Hannson (2 points, 4
rebounds), Ryan Bergstrom (2 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal) and Chaleb Miller (4 points, 2
rebounds) while Derek Onevelo ripped down 7 rebounds.
The Thunder never led in the game, but did pull close in the second quarter before the
Timberwolves went on a 17-3 run in the third quarter led by the shooting of Julian Lebron (4
points) and Noah Morelli (4 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals). Noah Smith added an assist
to go along with his 3 rebounds and 2 steals on the game. In the loss, Evan Meyers ripped
down 6 rebounds, while Landen Schult played great defense.
