General Information
Place: Beaumont Alberta. MARSHALLING LOCATION: Parade will marshal along 50th Avenue, west of
57th Street to Rue Eaglemont (or beyond if necessary).
Date: Saturday, June 18, 2016
Time: Assembly from 08:30 AM – 10:00 AM
Judging from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM
Parade starts at 11:00 AM sharp
Completed registration forms must be submitted by 6:00 PM, June 15, 2016
Rules & Regulations
1.
Send completed entry form, signed release form, and proof of liability insurance to:

NO Entry Fee.

Marshalling will take place along 50th Avenue west of the ring road. Participants can be dropped off at
the marshaling area, BUT parking will NOT be permitted at that location!
4.
To avoid traffic jams and parking issues, we strongly encourage parade entries with lots of children or
small animals (e.g. dogs) to assemble elsewhere in town before proceeding to the marshalling area. If this
won’t work, please encourage your participants to car-pool!
5.
All parade entries should be in place by 10:00 AM. The parade judges will roam the marshalling area to
view entries beginning at 9:00 to 9:30 AM. The judges’ decisions are final for awarding prizes.
6.
Ribbons or banners will be given to prize winners prior to the parade. Trophies and Prizes will be
presented after the parade near the main KNRRC entrance.
7.
For Safety Reasons, Novelties and Candy must NOT BE THROWN from the floats. They may however
be passed out by hand.
8.
Please leave water pistols, water balloons and super-soakers at home! We are discouraging water fights
between parade participants and spectators to respect entrants with animals and special vehicles.
9.
Pets must be leashed or caged. All town by-laws must be adhered to.
10. We ask that all parade participants follow the direction of parade personnel regarding parade
placement, pace, etc.



RELEASE FORM — PARADE
You as spokesperson for the Participant (business, organization, or individual) in the Beaumont
Town & Country Daze Parade acknowledge that you and all others in your group (the
Participant) are fully aware of the nature and extent of the risks involved in the parade, and are
assuming all risks associated with participation in the parade, which utilizes streets and land
owned by the Town of Beaumont.
Participants in the parade also acknowledge that all motorized vehicles used to tow or mechanize
floats or otherwise used as part of the parade entry have valid insurance coverage and will be
operated by a person(s) with a valid Driver’s License. Proof of liability insurance coverage for
all motorized and trailer-type vehicles is required for each entry. Equine entries must also
provide proof of AEF or equivalent insurance. Provide insurance information in the form
below OR photocopies of insurance certificates.
The Participant acknowledges and agrees that the Beaumont & District Agricultural Society,
Town of Beaumont, Town of Beaumont Promotions Committee, and their agents, employees,
and volunteers shall not be liable or in any way responsible for any loss, injury, or damage
suffered by the Participant due to their participation in the Beaumont Town & Country Daze
Parade utilizing land and streets owned by the Town of Beaumont. The Participant absolutely
releases the Beaumont & District Agricultural Society, Town of Beaumont, Town of Beaumont
Promotions Committee, and their agents, employees, and volunteers from any liability
whatsoever, now, or in the future.
In doing so, the Participant in no way limits the application of common law principle of volenti
non fit injuria from operation to protect the Beaumont & District Agricultural Society, Town of
Beaumont, Town of Beaumont Promotions Committee, and their agents, employees, and
volunteers. All participants also have read and will observe the rules and regulations as printed
on the Parade Registration form and in this waiver document.
