What is Website Design ?
Website design is the encompasses of many different skills and disciplines
in the production of websites. There are many different types of web design
which is web graphic design, Interface design and proprietary software. Web
design partially overlaps web engineering in the broader scope of web
development. Web designers are expected to have an awareness
of usability and if their role involves creating markup then they are also
expected to be up to date with web accessibility guidelines.
1. Adidas Microsite Website

First of all, this is the example of sport website. This website more portable
and easy to user use it because there have a lot of video. For sure that every
user want the easier way to use it and understand it. In this microsite, is the
easy way to user browse the details. Although in this microsite, there are a
lot of picture and video, but for me, it is the easy way to user understand it.
About the user interface, the layout background look more stylish for sport.
It is suitable design for sport website. The typography look more simple but
for me is just nice. The users will attract with this website because it is a lot
of picture from the past year. The navigation is just look comfortable and
easy to use it. The icons for me small but nice. Users know how to use it.
For the user experience, they will know the history from the past year. The
usability and functionality more portable and easy to use it. There are some
interactivity in there. For example, when you touched the header, it will come
out the sub page. The site map more simple because there is a lot of picture
and video.
2. Nike Microsite Website

For this website is more to customer service. They provide many of design
shirt, shoes, pant and etc. This microsite look more spirit and portable. The
users will attract with the first page. Which is the first page is the video
compilation for introduction the Nike. The user interface is look darker. They
use the darker color to attract users. The typography also very suitable and
nice. The layout of website is simple. Nothing special about the background
because they use same for all pages.
For user experience, this is the best way that users can use it. In this
microsite, there are a lot of interactivity. For the example, if we touch the
round icon on the body of model, it will show the design of it. The functionality
is easy to use and portable. The icon look more elegance and easy to use it.
3. Pepsi Microsite Website

Pepsi have made an interactive website. They also have attract many users
with the amazing design in it. The principle of web design is like more
interactive even though they don’t use ½ and ¾ method. For me, this is the
best website I have been seen. The user interface of this microsite is more
fun and portable. They also using a parallax and video background. They
also put the feel of fun in this website make users more attract about it.
The layout look more of white color because it make users feel calm and
passion with it. The typography not look too fancy but just nice. The graphic
more powerful and passion when we all see it. The icon is just nice put up
there. The user experience will know about the Pepsi closely and feel
interesting. The site map more to design method. The functionality of this
website is will success. The users will interesting when look up this website.
4. Spotify Microsite Website

Spotify is the most popular connection server in the world. They decided to
make a website to promote the Spotify of the world. They also have given
some promotion to attract users. The principle of website is more casual and
portable. The interface that already design in the website is more like
animation. The layout that they design is more to the cartoon concept. They
also using the parallax method.
For the user experience, they will got the perfect information and they will
attract with the background design. About the interactivity, they don’t have a
lot of that because they only using parallax for interactivity. The typography
is just look simple and users will easy to read it. The icon is just nice up there
on the header. The icon will stay upward while user scroll downward.
5. Lake Nona Microsite Website

This website is to promote place that called Lake Nona. There are many
facilities that provided. The principle of website design is more to graphic
design method. The most interaction in this website is their user interface.
This is the best user interface I have been looking for promote place. The
users will attract with the graphic design at home page. In the home page
they put the YouTube video that promote the place.
The layout look simple but they have creativity to design it look more
interesting. The gallery picture are moving automatically so that users don’t
have to click button. The typography does not very fancy. They use a simple
word so that users can easily read it. The most thing that will attract users is
the navigation of button. For the example, of the top headline have
community, live, commerce, learn, medical city. When the mouse moving at
the button, it will appear the sub page with the picture. It is the easiest way
to users check it.
