PRESS RELEASE – For immediate release Holten, October, 2012 25 Year Jubilee Land Rover Club Holland, 1988 – 2013 In 2013, the Land Rover Club Holland (LRCH) exists for 25 years and it will celebrate this from May 9th to 13th, 2013. The club expects more than 1,500 partygoers on the Beekse Bergen grounds in Hilvarenbeek. During this long Ascension Day weekend, dozens of activities with and without Land Rover are on the agenda. Members of the LRCH and members of other national and international Land Rover Clubs can now register on the jubilee website www.lrch25years.nl . Rich history What started in 1988 with a group of 100 enthusiasts has in 25 years grown into the largest club of car lovers in the Netherlands. Nowadays the club numbers over 2,500 members and has dozens of volunteers to keep it going. The original goal of the club of having the owners of Land Rover enjoy the unique characteristics of these vehicles, is still standing proud. For this the club organises numerous off road and all road events throughout the year, club evenings, technical information, a professional full colour magazine and lots more. Difficult times As other 4x4 clubs, the club sometimes had seen difficult times. Like the ‘commercial registration’ vicissitudes some years ago and the current CO2 emissions. Despite setbacks and the at times merciless dressing down of the so called Chelsea Tractors by the media, the members and board are keeping the faith. Nothing, you see, is as unique as a Land Rover. Like the ‘Defender’ type. The primordial Land Rover of the 50’s of the last century that nowadays is still being built in largely unaltered originality. Well, solid, usable on farmland and in the city. The buffs within the club know how to appreciate that and will pass their positive attitude – also in difficult times – on to fellow members and others. Celebrating The LRCH celebrates its silver jubilee on the grounds of De Beekse Bergen in Hilvarenbeek from May 9th to 13th, 2013 (Ascension Day weekend). Amongst others, the safari grounds - how appropriate to a Land Rover - and the campsite are at our disposal. There will be off road, all road and on road tracks. A sort out, static show, activities for children and much more are on the agenda. But most of all, the 25 year jubilee celebration is the opportunity to enjoy and have fun with each other. Not to be missed The LRCH invites all members of national and international Land Rover Clubs to take part in this unique event. They can register through the website www.lrch25years.nl, which has especially set up for this event. More information and an impression of the Land Rover Club Holland can be found on www.facebook.com/lrch.nl and www.lrch.nl .
