Plant Turnover Engineer
Project Description
The petrochemical plant of Saudi Kayan involves in the production of essential chemical like Cumene,
Phenol and Bis–Phenol. I was responsible for the System/Subsystem wise Plant Turnover/Handover for the
Mechanical facilities to the client. I was involved in various phases of a project like Construction, PreCommissioning. Mechanical Completion and RFISU (Ready for Initial Start Up). The Project Handover was
done in Documentation as well as using a special software called “CO-CONSOLE”, a management tool
regarding Administration , Reporting and Information management during Construction. Pre-Commissioning
and Commissioning.
Responsibilities:


Coordinate with QA/QC. Dept & Pre- commissioning dept.
Involve in Project progress preparation by coordinating with all project disciplines.







Scheduling final system walk downs for overall project & coordinating with Construction and
subcontractors, arrange turnover final walk downs, assign engineers to conduct pre familiarization walk
downs & final turnover walk downs.
Compiling final punch lists and lead walk down teams to P&ID/ISO specifications.
Coordinate with QA/QC activities and issuance of Internal & External punch list by client.
Follow up clearance of proponent and Project inspection punch lists.
Inter-discipline Coordination amongst Piping, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Instrument, Mechanical,
Building on Various information required for issuance of Turnover Package. Consolidate construction
punch list in the data base (Construction Integrated Management System) and update punch
clearing status of all punch raised during construction and pre-commissioning activities to form
a part of Turnover
Conducting Walkthrough with client after mechanical competition system wise. Manage, complete and
compile the required quality verifying documents for each system/sub-system.
Monitor mechanical completion schedule for system and Sub-system based on pre-commissioning &
Commissioning schedule developed by Project Control Manager & Plant Turnover Manager.
