When PSTN Services are acquired through a purchase of Office 365 E5, certain tax implications exist in several markets.
The United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada are considered Tax Inclusive countries when billed for PSTN Services.
Taxes and regulatory fees imposed on PSTN services are more
complex in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada.

In the United States and Puerto Rico, Skype for Business PSTN Services require special tax and regulatory
requirements. Microsoft chose to simplify the partner experience and price PSTN services as tax inclusive.
Due to unique PSTN taxes and regulations, there are implications for partners transacting O365 E5 promo SKU in
indirect programs. If a partner marks up the price of a Microsoft PSTN Service, the Partner will likely be
responsible for calculating and remitting PSTN taxes and fees. Considering the impact this promo may have on
Partners selling to US and Puerto Rico Customers in indirect channels, Microsoft will offer alternative ways to
