Introduction
NSBE’s Mission begins with the phrase, “To
Increase the Number...” That speaks directly to
recruitment. Due to academic semesters
beginning, September has always proven to be
the highest point of NSBE Recruitment. So we
must maximize this window of opportunity
with a concerted effort called, “The NSBE
Recruitment Month.”

History
NSBE Recruitment Month -“Just Get 1 Campaign”
• First NSBE Recruitment Day on January 24th,
2012 brought in 495 new members in one day
• Idea of a Spring Recruitment Month was
presented by WHQ before
• “Just Get 1 Campaign” (2005-2008) effectively
doubled our membership when it was done

Vision
• This will be a one-month initiative for NSBE
members worldwide to collectively expand the
NSBE family.
• The first large-scale Membership Engagement for
this term. It will set the tone for our year.
• We will utilize chapter reporting and membership
surveys to gain initial data and metrics on our
members
• This will be a jumpstart for other membership

The 5 Ws for Chapters
WHO: All current NSBE members
WHAT: A one month initiative for NSBE members worldwide to
collectively expand the NSBE family!

WHY: Our mission is THE Mission!
HOW:
– Membership Drives: Reserve a space/table for the event and bring laptops with
internet
– Chapters display NSBE paraphernalia from the NSBE store*
– Share your NSBE story on! NSBE's Facebook page
– Sign members up , and Sponsor someone’s Membership if you are able.
Everyone can at least “Just Get 1” new person to join NSBE.

Metrics & Reporting
• Require Chapters/Regions to give weekly
updates on their progress
• Membership Surveys
• Gain data based off of the 16 membership
