Registration dates/times for the Twin City Youth Trap Team: registration and first practice will take
place on Thursday, February 25th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Twin City Rod and Gun Club located at
W7832 Winnegamie Drive, Neenah, WI. In order to register, students must have taken a Hunter's
Safety Course.
Register now for the Neenah Soccer Club spring/summer recreational soccer season!! Anyone age
5-19 who is interested can register online atwww.neenahsoccerclub.org, Register before February
28th to avoid the $25 late fee!!

MONDAY:
Forensics meets today.
The Debate Team will meet in the Library every Monday from 6pm-8pm. (Scotty Thurwachter)
Knitting Club meets Mondays from 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm in room 322. (Mrs. Uvaas)
The Urban Farm Club will meet on Mondays in room 404. (Mrs. Dorschner or Mrs. Rogers)
The AFS Club meets on Monday after school in room 164B from 3:25-3:45. (Mrs. Counter)
Anime Club meets on Mondays in room 200 after school. (Mrs. Hoff)
The Mindfulness club meets in room 519 on Monday at 7:15 am. We go through about 15
minutes of relaxing mindfulness in the hope of creating a positive start to the week!

SEA Club will be meeting on Tuesday mornings at 7:20 am in room 164B. (Mrs. Counter)
Student Council meets on Tuesday, at 7:15 am in the Conant Little Theater. (Mr. Laluzerne)
Art Club meets every Tuesday at 3:20 pm in room 420. (Mrs. Mullard)
The Chess Club will be meeting every Tuesday after school until 4:30 p.m. in the Apollo commons.

CONGRATULATIONS:
The Science Olympiad team placed fourth overall in the regional competition on Feb. 13 in Wausau.
The team had first place finishes in Disease Detectives by Ashley Hermans and Lydia Engelbreth.
There were two third place finishes in Microbe Mission by Hermans and McKenna Mulvey and Game
On by Lucas Miller and Eli Goethel. The next competition is the state meet April 1 at UW Stout.
FISHING ; Neenah’s two teams both finished in the top 10 at last weekend’s state tournament on
Shawano Lake. The Neenah #2 team captained by Ryan Hultman and Alex Schussman placed
seventh and the #1 team captained by Aaron Goldschmidt and Andrew Belter was ninth overall
among the 52 competing teams. Goldschmidt caught the largest crappie and Tom Cianciolo was
second in the perch category.
Wrestling: Sophomore Beau Yineman earned a berth to this weekend’s state individual tournament
after finishing second at the sectional at 182 pounds.
Forensics: We just arrived back from the WHSFA sub-district tournament in Reedsville tonight. I
have great news to report. All thirteen students qualified for the district tournament to be held in
Manitowoc on March 14th! The district tournament is the last step before qualifying for the state
competition in Madison on April 15th & 16th.

SPORTS NEWS:

All girls that are interested in trying out for volleyball in the fall should attend a short
informational meeting in room 433 on Monday, February 29th right after school. Please get there as
quickly as possible so we can get people to their activities! Monday, February 29th in Coach Mo's
room - that's 433 - after school Monday for volleyball. If you cannot make it , please see Coach Mo or
Coach Bennett later next week.
Boys Basketball: Neenah will be the fifth seed for the upcoming WIAA Sectional and opens the
postseason with a home game against 12th-seeded Eau Claire North on March 4 at 7 p.m.
Girls Basketball: will open WIAA tournament play on Friday as the fifth seed and host 12th-seeded
Oshkosh West in the opening round.
Bowling: the state tournament set for March 4-6 in Weston. The varsity girls bowling team
took 2nd place in conference this season and have qualified for the state tournament
competition next weekend in Weston.
Girls Hockey: will play Feb. 27 – WIAA Sectional Final vs. Fond du Lac or Green Bay, 7 p.m. (at
Appleton)
Boys Hockey: will play Feb. 26 – WIAA Sectional Final vs. Appleton or Green Bay Notre Dame, 7:45
p.m. (at Ashwaubenon)
