1. Cowboy Mugging: One loop. Contest will be run

1. Cowboy Mugging: One loop. Contest will be run in groups of three teams at one time. Roper must rope animal
and mugger wrestle animal to ground, roper must tie any three legs and stay tied for 6 seconds. Roper may help
mugger get animal to ground. The rope must be free of horse before tieing animal.
2. Ladies Break-Away Roping: One loop. Loop must go over head and breakaway from horn. A bright flag must be
tied to end of rope.
3. Sort & Rope: Two person teams. Time starts when team crosses a line in the middle of the arena. Team will ride
to end of the arena where they will enter a small pen and bring one steer out of pen into the arena, they will head and
heel steer. Gate must be shut before team can rope steer. Allowing more than one steer in the arena at any time is a
disqualification. Five second penalty for one hind leg. Three legal head catches. Two loops. If muleys used slick
neck only legal head catch.
4. Cowboy Doctoring: Three loops. Three person teams. Contest will be run in groups of three teams at one time.
The team must head and heel a steer. Put ropes on both front and both back feet then mark head with chalk. A roper
may dismount to help get animal on ground but can not tie off. The third member must remount their horse to call
for time. 3 minute time limit.
5. Relay Race: Two person teams. A baton will be handed off to partner, fastest time wins. The event will be run in
heats of three.The winner of each heat will progress to a final which will be held on Sunday during the performance.
The top six teams from the heats will progress to the final.Times will be kept from each heat in the final fastest times
will be the winners.
6. Team Penning: Three-person team will pen three cattle out of a herd of 30. More than four head across score line
will be a disqualification. 1 1/2 minute time limit. Must raise hand for time when cattle are penned. All wrong #
cattle must be back across score line before flag will drop. No unnecessary roughness. Enter once only.
7. Barrel Race: 1st division fastest time ran, 2nd division 1/2 second off, 3rd division 1 second off fastest time. One
run. Fastest times for entire weekend are awarded on Sunday. Buckles awarded to each division. You may enter
twice. Must be a different horse. Men and women can enter. All money counts towards all-arounds.
8. Mixed Ribbon Roping: Two-person team, one man and one woman. Either person can rope. Roper will come
from behind a barrier out of the roping box. Partner must start from inside designated circle, may leave circle when
chute gate opens. Steer must be standing when ribbon is taken from tail. No jerking cattle down. Participant
will pull the ribbon or part of the ribbon off steers tail and return to circle for time to stop. One loop. Men and
women may enter twice. No up and back entering. All money counts towards all-arounds.
9. Steer Stopping: Roper will start from behind a line at catch pen end of arena. When roper crosses line, time will
start and steer will be released from roping chute. Three legal head catches horns, 1/2 head, and neck. Time will stop
when steer is facing horse and both are on all four feet. Jerking cattle down over backwards will be automatic
disqualification. One loop.
10. Team Branding Draw pot: rodeo secretary will draw Four person teams. Each team will rope half the cattle
then switch with ground crew. 4 minute time limit. Cattle must be stretched with the ropes on both front and both
hind feet before brand can leave paint can. Any unnecessary roughness, including running cattle into a fence, will
result in disqualification.
11. Open Team Roping: Enter twice. PRCA rules. Cattle chute run. Electric eye will be used.
12. Two man Team Sorting: Enter once. Cattle will be sorted in number succession from number called by
announcer. Any number out of order will result in a no time. 1 ½ minute time limit. This event will be Saturday
morning only.
A. NO REFUNDS. MONEY MUST ACCOMPANY ENTRIES OR THEY WILL BE RETURNED TO YOU!
Valid veterinarian release on veterinarian stationery will be allowed in barrel racing only.
B. Slack 9:00 AM Sat. and 9:00 AM Sun. if needed. Performances 5:00 PM Saturday & 2:00 PM Sunday.
C. Events will be drawn Thurs. May 19th.Positions will be posted Mon. May 23rd www.v6ranch.com
D. No entries will be taken over the phone.
E. Plenty of camping available. No hookups. Showers and bathrooms available. NO OPEN FIRES, must be in some
kind of container. Please take your garbage home. PLEASE NO GLASS FOR SAFETY OF THE ANIMALS.
Camping spots are first come first serve.
F. Rodeo arena located in downtown Parkfield. From North and South 101 take San Miguel exit into San Miguel
then follow signs to Parkfield. From North and South I 5 take either 41 west or 46 west until 46 and 41 intersect.
Parkfield turn off at this junction take it for 15 miles and your there.
G. The Mike Boothe All-Around contestant must win money in two or more events. If not will go back to most
money won in one event as long as they are entered in more than one event.
H. Women’s All-Around will be the most money won in two or more events. If that doesn’t happen it will go back to
most money won in one event as long as they are entered in more than one event.
I. Can not win two All-Arounds any combination of either the Mike Boothe or Women’s All-Around if the same
person is winning two All-Arounds, the person winning second in either All-Around will be the winner for that AllAround.
J. Every contestant must check in with the rodeo secretary before competing.
K. PLEASE LEAVE DOGS HOME. DOGS ON RODEO GROUNDS MUST BE LEASHED!
L. IF ENTERING EVENTS WITH PARTNERS TBA, YOU MUST PAY FOR THE SPOT OR YOU WILL BE
CHARGED FOR IT BY THE RODEO SECRETARY.
M. Grounds fee/office charge will be charged each contestant.$10 fee.
N. Trades are allowed but it is your responsibility to find your own trade.
O. ENTER TWICE OPEN TEAM ROPING. ELECTRIC EYE WILL BE USED. CATTLE CHUTE RUN.
