A brief history/evolution of moving stone jewelry.
First patent filed in 2000, a hole drilled thru the top of stone, thru which a rod is placed, and stone moves around it. A
variation of this patent was a ring drilled thru top part of stone. In 2004 a patent using rings, where the stone swung
sideways. Another 4 or 5 patents were filed up to 2010. In 2010 patent with rings on each side of stone, this the one most
seen today. In 2013 another patent filed. In 2014 Rousseau filed their patent. This is a unique tuning fork mechanism,
hanging from a single point.
How does it work?
Each jewelry piece is actually a precision constructed vessel of set angles and balance points. Inside the vessel is a tuning
fork with stone attached to one end. Energy/movement from the body is transmitted to the vessel, to the tuning fork and on
to the stone.
Uniqueness of the Rousseau patent is that the moving stone action is greatly pronounced, lasting a long time.
