President’s Column
Dear Hawks Families,
An exciting season of Hawks soccer is upon us! The fall league
season is set to kick off on September 10th. Most teams are
participating in the Puget Sound Premier League that includes
clubs throughout Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho.
The home game schedule will be posted at
www.hawsksoccer.org. Please come out to support your
Hawks teams! Please join me in thanking club volunteers for
all their efforts and sponsors for their support in providing a
wonderful soccer experience for youth athletes in the Palouse
region. I look forward to seeing everyone on the pitch!
Cheers,
Jon Oatley, President, Hawks S.C.

The Executive Board approved a stipend of $ 1,500 for the head coach
and $ 300 for the assistant coach (50 % if coach is parent) per season.
Tournament participation is included in fees for Premier teams
(coaches are reimbursed for travel by the club).
Referee and league fees are $ 20-30 per player per season (included in
registration for all players).
Facilities costs vary substantially throughout the year and are
currently in the $ 15-20 range per player per season (included in
registration for all players, with the exception of indoor locations that
will require a small payment by Select players).
Dave Simeone, Director of Coaching, does not earn a salary. He will
be receiving a modest stipend, just like other coaches.
Hawks S.C. Coaching Announcements
July 29, 2016
We are proud of the quality of coaches for the inaugural
Hawks S.C. season. Many of them also participated in training
sessions offered throughout the summer:

BU13 Team Semi-Finalists at River City Challenge Cup
August 14 and August 28, 2016
The BU11 and BU13 teams traveled to Spokane, WA to
participate in tournaments. The BU11 boys finished on top
after remaining undefeated in five games vs. Spokane
Sounders, FC Spokane, Sting Timbers, and 3 Rivers. The BU13
team did well in group play but fell to Sting Timbers in the
Gold bracket semi-final. Overall a strong showing!
