MEDIA ALERT LUCIUS’ GOOD GRIEF STREAMING NOW ON CBC MUSIC FIRST PLAY HERE PERFORMED “BORN AGAIN TEEN” ON THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT WORLDWIDE TOUR DATES CONFIRMED Includes dates in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and at Wayhome + Osheaga GOOD GRIEF SET FOR RELEASE MARCH 11, 2016 ON DINE ALONE “Ebullient.”— Rolling Stone “Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig’s soaring vocals make a massive pop sound and hint at new possibilities for one of our favorite bands.”— NPR Music “Especially gorgeous, moving…” — The New York Times “Knocking the listener sideways with some perfectly plush Fleetwood Mac-meets-early-Heart vibes.” — Vice’s Noisey (March 4, 2016) — Lucius’ new album Good Grief is streaming now on CBC First Play (Canada) and NPR First Listen (Rest of World). Of the record, CBC says, “"Good Grief is fiercer and more fearless than the band’s 2013 debut full-length, Wildewoman. The lush, luminous harmonies of co-lead singer-songwriters Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig, are still central to Lucius’ sound, but there’s a wilder, richer, darker pop heart at work here." Lucius’ Good Grief will be released March 11 via Dine Alone Records (Canada). The LP can is available for pre-order on iTunes here: http://smarturl.it/LuciusGG. Fans can also pre-order physical CDs here. Additionally, Lucius performed “Born Again Teen” last night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Watch their killer performance here: http://bit.ly/1njo6Fo. …2 Lucius embarks on an extensive worldwide tour with stops in Toronto on March 26, Montreal on March 28, and Vancouver on May 10. The band has also announced appearances at Wayhome Festival and Osheaga. Of their live show, Paste hails it’s “…a display that employs collaborative percussion, eye-catching stage props and a symbiosis of themselves and their audience.” See below for complete tour dates. Good Grief was produced by Shawn Everett (Alabama Shakes, Weezer) and Lucius with Bob Ezrin, and mixed by Tom Elmhirst (Adele, Beck). The new music follows the band’s critically acclaimed debut album, Wildewoman, which The New York Times praised for its “luscious, luminous, lilting lullabies”, and which was lauded on several 2013 year end lists including, Rolling Stone, NPR and Paste. The band is lead by its co-founders and vocalists Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig, accompanied by multiinstrumentalists Andrew Burri, Peter Lalish and Dan Molad. Wolfe and Laessig met in 2005 while attending Berklee College of Music. Since forming, Lucius has toured extensively, playing headline shows worldwide as well as major festival appearances including Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza, Governors Ball and Newport Folk Festival. Recently, they have toured with The Decemberists, My Morning Jacket, Sara Bareilles, Tegan and Sara, Jack White and The Head and The Heart. Of Good Grief, vocalist Jess Wolfe says, “When we started writing for this record, we had been away from home for nearly two years. We had just returned from tour, having gone through such varied emotions—loneliness, sadness and exhaustion alongside excitement, fulfillment and some of the most joyful moments in our lives…Whenever one of us had an idea or a feeling, the other was already a witness to it and could help navigate through it—for the two of us, this usually came in song form.” Vocalist Holly Laessig adds, “…When considering titles, we wanted to be sure to acknowledge any serious subject matter, while simultaneously allowing ourselves a comic sigh of relief from any personal turmoil. Ha! The yin and yang of the record naturally unveiled itself and, so, Good Grief.” GOOD GRIEF TRACK LIST 01. Madness 02. Something About You 03. What We Have (To Change) 04.
