FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

① Cut a 64mm diameter hole in the ceiling ensuring
adequate minimum ceiling void (110mm) without infringing
on joists, water pipes or cables.

Z6 Eyeconic Trimless (7W & 10W)
② Make sure there is at least 50mm free air ventilation
around the fitting.

③ Screw the trimless flange to the ceiling using 6 to 8
gypsum board screws, evenly spaced around the ring (see
example image)
Note. Light should not be inserted at this stage.

④ Plaster flush with front edge of flanged fitting

⑤ Do not continue with fitting until new plaster is
completely dry and all ceiling painting is completely dry

carried out by a qualified electrician ensuring the
installation complies with current IEE wiring regulations &
local building control.
ESSENTIAL ADVICE
ISOLATE ELECTRICAL SUPPLY BEFORE
COMMENCING WORK.
DO NOT SWITCH ON UNTIL ALL CONNECTIONS
HAVE BEEN MADE AND PROPERLY CHECKED

⑥ Connect mains supply to the constant current driver.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
(Blue – Neutral / Brown – Live)
No earth is required, if an earth wire is present, ensure it is
fully insulated and cannot contact live or neutral terminals.

⑦ When ready to fit the light engine connect the (Red Positive ) and (Black - Negative ) wires to the DC output
terminal of the driver

⑧ Slide the insertion/extraction tool into the front
opening in the light engine and lock in place (see tool use
section)

⑨ Slide the driver into the ceiling followed by the light
engine push it firmly into place using the tool
Light should be apx 5mm back from the front edge if it has
been inserted correctly

⑩ Angle the light to the desired position and remove the
tool
.......................................................................................
Light is not designed to be covered with insulation
.......................................................................................
GUARANTEE
The guarantee is invalid if the flange or the light is
improperly used or installed. Installed in an improper
working environment or the wiring does not comply with
current IEE wiring regulations.
ecoLED does not accept responsibility for any installation
costs associated with the replacement of this light or the
surface it is mounted in the event of physical damage to the
plaster when inserting or extracting the light incorrectly
ecoLED reserve the right to alter specifications without
prior notice.

Tool use
Example screw arrangements
① Slide the rubber ring from the bottom of the tool to the
top end
(6 Screws)

② open the tool fully

③ Insert tool all the way into the front of the eyeball and
close until locked in place
.......................................................................................
④ Slide the rubber ring back to the bottom,
.......................................................................................
⑤ The tool is now ready to insert/extract the eyeball light
engine
.......................................................................................
⑥when extracting the eye ball use the large ring to firmly
press against the area around the outer bezel, otherwise
you may crack the plaster around the fitting when pulling
the light engine out
