CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR
PARTICIPATION IN CULTURE NIGHT 2017
FRIDAY 22nd SEPTEMBER 2017.
Carlow County Council Arts Office is delighted to announce its participation in Culture
Night 2017. Carlow Arts Office will host a Cultural Trail of highly accessible, free of charge,
family friendly events and we are now looking for artists, arts, crafts, music and cultural
groups, communities, public spaces, schools and clubs from across the county to get
involved in Culture Night 2017 which takes place throughout County Carlow on FRIDAY
22nd SEPTEMBER 2017.
We want to make the programme of events for Carlow’s Culture Night 2017 an eclectic
and rich cultural offering, open to all and free of charge. By becoming part of the County
Carlow Culture Night Trail participants will be able to share ideas, access new audiences
and showcase what they do to a wider section of the community in County Carlow.
Carlow Culture Night Trail is open to all art forms and will included a diverse programme
of performances, events and exhibitions available to the public and will run from 5pm on
FRIDAY 22nd SEPTEMBER 2017 throughout the evening as a time tabled trail of events.
We are paying particular attention to the scheduling of Culture Night events to try to
avoid overlap so we would ask you to be flexible in your proposed event time. We are also
keen to have organisations promote and support events in their area so please feel free to
coordinate with other organisations in your area to provide the best experience possible.
For Culture Night Carlow 2017 we will invite participating artists/venues and organisations
to consider the theme of “hands-on making” and how art forms can cross each other’s
boundaries in order to reach audiences in new and expanded ways.
Carlow County Council Arts Office is now inviting expressions of interest from those who
would like to participate in County Carlow’s Culture Night 2017. Application forms are
available by contacting Carlow Arts Office, details below.
The closing date for submissions of interest is: Friday 21st July at 5pm.
Applicants will be contacted by Carlow Arts Office shortly thereafter.
