Foxes LLN Charter for Players

Foxes Little League Netball – Fair Play Charter for Players
As a player with Foxes Little League Netball we want you to enjoy your time with us. Netball is a
great game and through Little League you will have the chance to learn, play and enjoy the sport.
Little League is not just about winning – playing fair, trying hard and having a good time are all just as
important. If you lose a match but have tried hard then you should be very proud of yourself.
Here are some tips to help us make Little League a great activity to take part in.

Remember to shake your opponents hand at the end of a match

And don’t forget three cheers as well

Thank the umpire for giving up his/her time

Always listen to the umpire

Losing is fine as long as you play well

Tell your manager in plenty of time if you can’t make a match

You will be asked to have a go at playing all the positions – that way you will be a really
good all round player

Expect sometimes to play only half a match, this is because there are up to 10 players
in a squad, but only ever 7 on court

Try not to be late and come to as many matches as possible, your team mates are
relying on you

Netball is played by the whole squad. It will be the whole team that wins a match and a
whole team that loses a match

Take care of your Little League kit and don’t forget to return it at the end of the
season

If you need to bring along a mobile phone please ensure that they are switched off
and handed to your coach for safekeeping until after the session

Do not bring expensive items to the matches as the league will not take responsibility
if they are lost or stolen.
Good Luck with your matches. We hope you enjoy your time with us.
