The FastPak Verify is a universal pouch verification
solution designed to work with FastPak EXP and
FastPak Elite automated packaging systems. It
improves the efficiency of the pharmacy by
automating the verification process of packaged
oral solids.
The FastPak Verify is a compact system that
analyzes the color, size, shape, and quantity in a
package. Image data from all four sides of each pill
in the pack are verified, quantities are checked,
color is confirmed and foreign objects are highlighted. If the system identifies an issue with any
medication in the package, it is color-coded on
screen for easy review.
This automated process enhances patient safety,
ensuring a match between the prescription data for
a patient and what’s in the package. Plus, easy
access to statistical data offers FastPak Verify users
historical inspection information so that they can
review errors and identify trends; it provides the
pharmacy a proof source of what was packaged.
Verification Work Flow
Step 1 — FastPak Verify scans the batch barcode
Step 2 — Image is captured and inspected against
prescription data and the drug database
Step 3 — On-screen results provide visual
confirmation of accuracy
