Why is light and dark so important to people?

Belvoirdale Primary School Curriculum
Years 3 & 4: Light and Dark
SPRING TERM 2
Why is light and dark so important to
people?
WHAT RESOURCES DO WE NEED?
YOU CAN HELP US WITH:



Non-fiction & story books about LIGHT AND DARK, SHADOWS, SHADING
TECHNIQUES, THE ARCTIC AND ANTARCTIC.
Any items that would help us understand all about light and shadows.
Do you know any local businesses/people who know about light and shadows or
even anyone who can demonstrate shading techniques within art work that could
share their knowledge/passion with the children in school? Do you know anyone
who may have visited countries in the Arctic Circle, such as: Canada, Iceland or
Greenland? Would they like to come to talk to our children?
WHAT DO WE NEED TO KNOW? HOW CAN WE LEARN THIS? WHO CAN WE
