TIME SPLITS:
The procedure for obtaining an 'Official Split' now requires that coaches make the request
to the session referee or meet management on the “Official Split Request” form prior to the
race. The split for the lead-off leg in relays will still be regarded as an official split and
therefore no request by coaches is needed for relays. However, in the new 'mixed gender'
relays, lead-off times/splits are not considered “official splits' as per international practice.
Meet management requires that any coach wishing to rely on a time achieved by the
swimmer for an interval shorter than the total distance of the event shall so advise the
Referee prior to the commencement of the session (or event) in question.
ENTRIES:
This meet has no qualifying times. Please use best estimates in place of NT entries as the
awards are heat winners 1st – 3rd. Entries will only be accepted through
www.swimming.ca . Meet management will not accept entries via email.
ENTRY DEADLINE:
The entry deadline is Monday, November 16, 2015. No late entries accepted.
SEEDING:
All entries must be in SC times.
CONVERSION:
Please submit converted times using the Hytek default conversion factor.
DECK ENTRIES:
Swimmers entered on deck must have valid proof of SNC registration (number) as an active,
competitive swimmer. Swimmer substitutions will not be allowed. Swimmers must be
scratched and then the appropriate swimmer must be deck entered by paying the deck
entry fee of $12.00 per event along with the deck entry form.
Deck entries will be considered in empty lanes or lanes available due to scratches and at the
discretion of the Clerk of Course. No additional heats will be added.
SCRATCHES:
Scratches are to be made at the Clerk of Course.
All fees will be charged based on entries submitted at the entry deadline, regardless of
whether the swimmer competes or not.
MEET RESULTS:
The meet program will be run on Hy-Tek Meet Manager. Results will be posted as quickly as
possible at the meet and uploaded as soon as possible to www.swimming.ca
NOTES:
Photographers must obtain consent from the meet manager prior to taking photos on deck.
Consent will require a letter of recommendation from their Club President and a Police
Record Check not older than 1 year.
LIMITATION OF
LIABILITY:
Teams entering swimmers in the Meet must advise the swimmer’s parents and/or guardians
that the Board, coaches and members of the COBRA Swim Club are committed to operating a
successful and safe meet and that all reasonable precautions will be put in place to ensure the
swimmer’s safety.
As such, members, coaches and the Board assume no responsibility for swimmers who are left
at the pool by their parents or guardians, and whose parents fail to pick their children up in
time at the end of the session. Parents who plan to drop their child off are responsible for
ensuring their safety before, during and after the Meet. To ensure that, they should confirm
that their child(ren)/swimmer(s) arrive safely on deck, that they are placed in the care of their
coach(s), and that appropriate arrangements are made for them to be picked up once they
have finished their events.
