Mark C. Perna is the founder and CEO of Tools for Schools (TFS) in Cleveland, Ohio, a
full-service strategic consulting firm whose mission is to share and support every client’s
desire to make a difference. Mark, a noted expert on Generations Y and Z, has many years of
experience working with Fortune 500 companies and has devoted his career to education
and workforce training. A dynamic public speaker, Mark frequently delivers keynote
speeches across the country and recently spoke at Harvard University by special invitation.
At TFS, Mark heads an energetic team of talented professionals who share his vision
of making a bigger difference. Completely dedicated to education and workforce
development, the TFS team is passionate about supporting educators’ efforts to engage
more of the right students, in the right programs, for the right reasons.
Mark is a John Carroll University graduate and has published numerous next-practice
articles in national publications. In addition, he has recently finished writing his first book to
help parents, employers, and educators connect with Generations Y and Z. Mark is the father
of two successful Millennials and resides in Cleveland, Ohio.
A proud member of ACTE, Mark serves on the Future Horizons Committee and is one
of five founding CTE Master Consultants in ACTE's Consulting Services Division. Together
with the TFS team, Mark partners with schools, districts, businesses, and state organizations
of all sizes nationwide to help them experience significant gains in enrollment, engagement,
retention, and performance rates.
