CERTIFICATE WINES MADE FROM ORGANIC GRAPES and ORGANIC WINES Active Dry Yeasts Springer Œnologie® : Saint Georges S101, CK S102, BC S103, VR 44, UCLM S325, UCLM S377, NDA 21, SC 22 The quality department of Fermentis hereby certifies that: Active Dry Yeasts are authorized in wine production according to the point 5 of the Annex IA of European Regulation (EC) 606/2009 laying down certain detailed rules for implementing Council Regulation (EC) No 479/2008 as regards the categories of grapevine products, oenological practices and the applicable restrictions. Active Dry Yeasts are therefore authorized in the production of wine made from organic grapes. According to the Annex VIII bis of the European Regulation (EU) 203/2012 amending Regulation (EC) 889/2008 laying down certain detailed rules for implementing Council Regulation (EU) 834/2007, the use of Oenological Active Dry Yeasts is authorized in organic wine production. Moreover, the note (*) of this annex mentions: “derived from organic raw materials if available”. To our most recent knowledge, the strains mentioned here above commercialized by the Lesaffre Group are not available under organic form.
