Agong’s Birthday is a holiday that is oriented
around the celebration of the Malaysian
King’s Birthday. In Malaysia, the King is
referred to as Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
Agong’s Birthday is celebrated in various
ways throughout Malaysia. The largest and
most popular celebration for the holiday
occurs at Istana Negara in Kuala Lampur.

This day marks the independence of the
Federation of Malaya from British colonial
rule in 1957. Colourful multicultural parades
are organized at city centers throughout the
country.

16 September 2017
Malaysia Day is held on September 16 yearly
to commemorate the establishment of the
Malaysian Federation on the same date in
1963. Celebrations are held in various parts
of the country.
• Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS)
Perak
Asia’s first animation theme park, the
Movie Animation Park Studios or MAPS will
officially open its doors to the public. MAPS
had recently announced that the longawaited theme park will welcome its first
visitors on 26 June this year.

animation attractions including the much
loved BoBoiBoy, The Smurfs and DreamWorks
characters such as Mr. Peabody & Sherman,

basis of some of the world’s most extravagant
perfumes. It derived from the resinous bark
of a tree that only grows exclusively in parts

rarest and most expensive commodities
- kilo for kilo, it is more costly than gold.
MBOC is filled with a variety of activities
such as exhibitions, business vendor booths,
traditional dance performances, batik fashion
