Della's Day
The school day was finished. Della walked home. She passed the mall. She wanted to go there
because her friends would be there soon. When she got home, she asked her mother if she could go.
Her mother said she could. She could stay two hours. Outside Della started to run, but fell. Her
knee was scraped. She limped inside. Her mother cleaned and bandaged it. Her mother drove her
instead.
