For the past 100 years, the shores of Eagle Harbor
in Ephraim have been graced by the Edgewater
Resort’s classic architectural lines and distinctive
verandas – making it one of Door County’s first
and finest waterfront resorts. The original lodge
was built in the 1890s as The Edgewater Lodge.
The building that is now the Old Post Office
Restaurant was built in 1874 for Hansen’s General
Store and housed Ephraim’s post office in the
early 1900s. The two-block area surrounding the
Edgewater is particularly rich in Ephraim History.
