What to include
Criteria
1. Actual playing board: including game pieces and any necessary devices to complete your
designed game
2. A “How To Play” handout. This should explain how the game works (Do you roll dice? Do you
draw playing cards? Do you spin a wheel? How do you move around the board? Do you draw a
card when you land on a certain square? How do you win? - Make sure to have a clear
explanation so your classmates can play!)
3. The main people of the chapter: King James I, King Charles I, Oliver Cromwell, King Charles II,
King James II, William and Mary of Orange (you may also want to include Matthew Hopkins,
Archbishop Laud, Lord Straffird)
4. Include key terms, themes and concepts from that chapter (use your chapter outline, your
evolving timeline, and assignment handouts)
5. Religion (Religion is shifting with the changing Monarch and parliament, be sure to
incorporate these changes in your game)
6. Monarchy/Government and Conflict: Monarchy and parliament are at odds with each other
throughout this time period. Be sure to incorporate this!! (Include events like: the Long
Parliament, the Rump Parliament, Pride’s Purge, the Trial of the King, the Restoration, The
Glorious Revolution, Blue Laws, etc.)
