Proof of English Language Ability
Admission Requirements for the Degree Programs at
the UAS Technikum Wien
If you are interested in pursuing a regular degree course taught in English at the UAS Technikum Wien you
must provide evidence that your command of English is adequate.

If you do not have formal school or university qualifications in English , at least level B2 of the Common
European Framework of References for Languages is needed as evidence of the required English ability. It
is recommended that as part of the application process you acquire the necessary certificate, preferably at
one of the following institutions:


Cambridge Certificate of English First (FCE, minimum score 170)
Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE)


Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
Cambridge Business English Certificate Higher (BEC)

IELTS (Academic) – minimum score 6.0


TOEFL (minimum: pb 530/ cb 200 / iBT 70)
TOEIC (minimum of 700 points)



PTE Academic (min. 54)
For exams in multiple parts, at least level B2 for each part must be achieved. If the certificate is older than
four years, a placement or assessment test can be taken.
Bachelor degrees – fully taught in English - are accepted as evidence of English language proficiency.
