Translational Psychiatry
explores the more translational area between the
research in neuroscience and conceptually
novel treatments.
The term translational can be characterized as:
The process of obtaining benefit for patients by
converting scientific discoveries from
preclinical research
into clinical applications
3
???
1) What is meant by Novel?
2) What of the
they include?
Cognitive Neurosciences
3) What about evolutionary sciences?
related to growth oriented therapy?
4) Are they included among neurosciences ?
5) Where have we to start ? Preclinical or Clinical?
4
The approach of translational psychiatry and
molecular psychiatry is looks to
be
contradictory with :
1- The history of psychiatry
2- The history of medicine
3- The art of healing
4- The Evolutionary approach
5- The Biorhythmic march of individual’s growth
6- The recent advances of cognitive neuroscience
5
Historically and practically:
Medicine has been practiced
thousands of years before medical
colleges appeared
Medicine has been always “the art
of healing”
The results of treatment have been
always assessed imperically
6
Medicine deveops as an art of healing using
all source and information including
1- Scientefic information
2- Interpersonal consciousness interactions
3- Collective consciousness converging
power
4- Rehabilitation of brain, body and
environment by utilizin all available
resources including drugs

Two main topics are still as
vague and challenging as ever
EMOTIONS
CONSCIOUSNES
12
The
nature
and
value
of
both
“Consciousness” & Emotions”
are not amenable to traditional psychiatric
researches. Never the less they the are the pillar
of all psychiatric therapies.
13
How many
psychiatries
nowadays we know
very little about?
14
Computational psychiatry
uses computational theories of cognition
and neuroscience to bring together experts
in neuroscience, psychiatry, decision
sciences and computational modeling to
quantitatively
define
problems
in
psychiatric disease.
15
Orthomolecular psychiatry
is a mode of psychiatric care that
attempts to understand, in a mutually
collaborative manner, the deeper
meaning underlying a particular
patient's presenting problems.
16
Psychodynamic Psychiatry
is a new paradigm considering the potential role of an
integrated theory of brain and mind based on quantum
mechanical concepts.
- It is also related to:
- quantum consciousness
- quantum psychology
- quantum physics
-quantum matematichs
and
- Mysticism

Quantum Psychiatry
is a new paradigm considering the potential role of an
integrated theory of brain and mind based on quantum
mechanical concepts.
- It is also related to:

-quantum matematichs
and
- Mysticism
18
Evolutionary psychiatry
is proposed as a meta-theory to integrate biological and
interpersonal
aspects
of
psychopathology
Symptomatology of psychiatric disorders is be better
understood if divergent problems of adaptation for men
and women in human evolutionary history are taken
into account., it may rather be appropriate to provide a
functional classification which adds to the
contemporary psychiatric nosology
19
Evolutionary Psychiatry
20
Evolutionary Rhythmic
Psychiatry
Starting from the basic concepts of
evolution along with the rhythmic pattern
of all dimension of life utilizing all
available means to restore harmonizing
life rhythm and promoting human
growth
21
Evolutionary Rhythmic
Psychiatry
We have to choose, modify and
adapt the branch of psychiatry
that fits more our culture
including our socio-economic
status.

The Brain Rebuilds itself all through brought
pulsation and dialectic creations. This could be
noted , as examples:
1- During REM re-patterning information
2- During normal sequential Growth crises (Erich
erikson)
3- During creative processes
4- During criticism of human text in intensive therapy.
4- After re-start by properly timed BRT = RRT(ECT)
5- During therapeutic impasse in Group Therapy

Basic assumptions of
Evolutionary Rhythmic Psychiatry
The brain rebuilds itself it self all the time,
processing, patterning , re-patterning, creating
and promoting both evolution of race and
growth of the individual>

Psychopathogeny (a special new term) : is the
aborted mutilated macrogenic biorhythmic
pulse of growth.
The stage of abortion and the how of dealing or
mal-dealing with such failed unfolding results
in the corresponding disorder or mosaic of
disorders.

The Extended Mind
Clinical practice is a series of & Hypothetical deductive
thinking
The first hypothesis jumps to your mind from the very
early moment you see the patient entering.
From this moment on you are verifying your
preliminary hypothesis to be replaced by a more
feasible one, and so on.
As the hypothesis that the entering patient is mentally
retarded may soon be changed to the possibility that he
is simple schizophrenia which may soon leave its place
to the hypothesis that he is but residual schizophrenia
or post psychotic personality disorder
