Workshop Mechanics
A number of engineering vacancies exist in our component repair facility based at
Southend Airport in the following departments:
Instrument Shop
Generator Shop
Safety Shop
-
Aircraft Avionics Indicators, Gyros, CVRs,
Electro/Mechanical Units Motors, Generators, Controls.
Aircraft Escape Systems Slides, Rafts, Life Jackets.
Ideally applicants should have followed a recognised apprenticeship or alternative
form of technical training. Experience in similar MRO facilities would be an
advantage but is not mandatory.
Applicants should possess a sound knowledge of mechanical assembly and repair to
fine tolerances, be able to carry out electrical fault finding and basic electrical repairs.
The ability to interpret overhaul manuals and technical publications is essential,
coupled with the accurate completion of all paperwork associated with the task.
This is a workshop based position and applicants should possess a comprehensive tool
kit.
