Alabaster Competitive Soccer Club
Player/Parent Contract
Pledge of Commitment
• We, parent and player, pledge to support the Alabaster Competitive Soccer Club, Club
Board Members, Select Team Committee and Board, Team Coach and all Club officials.
• We agree to set our schedules accordingly so that team practice sessions, practice games,
league games, and tournament games both local and out-of-town can be attended. In the
event my child cannot attend any game or practice, we will notify the Coach and /or the team
Manager as soon as possible.
• We agree to provide a copy of the player’s birth certificate and all other necessary paperwork
within a timely manner.
• We recognize that playing for the Alabaster Competitive Soccer Club requires traveling out of
town. We are aware that some tournaments may require overnight accommodations, and all
expenses associated with tournaments are extra.
• We agree to pay Club and Team dues. These dues are used to fund costs associated with the
team, including but not limited to Coaching fees, trainer fees, league fees, and referee fees.
• We fully understand that the Coach of each team makes all decisions concerning practices,
games, playing time and positions and Parents, Players, and all Spectators must respect these
decisions.
• We agree to support the Team and Club fundraiser programs. The Select Team Committee
will select and decide ways of raising funds to decrease the debt of the Club and player.
• We acknowledge that the Coach controls all practices and games. Therefore, we agree to
make no coaching decisions or technical comments during practices and games. We agree
1
not to engage in technical conversation with the referee or opposing team participants
during games. The Team Coach has the right to ask us to leave the field of play if necessary.
• While my child is committed by contract to the Alabaster Competitive Soccer Club, we agree
that he/she will not TRY-OUT for another Select/Competitive/Travel team, unless the coach
first issues a release agreement. We understand that when a release is issued, my child
might not be allowed to return to any team associated with the Alabaster Competitive Soccer
Club for the remainder of the soccer year. A soccer year is typically from July 1 to June 30.
• We agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the ASA and affiliations, ACSC, ACSC Board,
Team Committee and Board, the Coach and Club sponsors.
• After reading the PARENT-PLAYER CONTRACT, we the legal Parent/Guardian, agree for our
child to play competitive soccer for an Alabaster Competitive Soccer Team.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WE AGREE TO ABIDE BY THIS CONTRACT FOR ONE SOCCER YEAR UNLESS IT IS COMPLETELY

Player Payments
At the beginning of each new season (new contract), a fee is established to cover the cost for
your child to participate as at Alabaster Competitive Soccer Club Select Team Player. This fee
covers league fees, field fees, uniforms, and coaching fees. The budget that has been allotted
for each child and his/her team is an estimated cost. The club will establish a lump sum
payment that will be requested upon acceptance to the team. Current total fee is as followed…
$ 485.00 per player
Fundraisers
Alabaster Competitive Soccer Club is very active in program fundraisers. Fundraisers will be
held to assist in supporting the expenses of the teams and for the usual and unexpected
operation costs. Participation is encouraged from all families that join and participate in ACSC
team play.
Uniforms and Equipment
Part of your fees include a uniform that includes three jerseys (home, away and practice), two
pair of shorts, socks. ACSC teams will wear identical uniforms.
League Play
Each team within the Alabaster Competitive Soccer Club, will tryout/join a Competitive League
during August. A player, Team and Coach must be will-prepared for tough competition through
organized practice. Therefore, practice sessions will begin no later than one month prior to
league play. All Teams must practice to ensure that this is a learning experience for players.
Players are required to attend all practices and games within “reasonable limits”. If you cannot
attend a practice please let your Team Coach or Team Manager know. Each team will play in a
league representative of its level of competition, for both fall and spring seasons. Each season
will consist of approximately 8 games home and away.
Coaching/Practice
The Director of Coaching “DOC” will select professional, experienced, and licensed coaches for
competitive teams. The coach and his assistant coach (if applicable) must be able to
demonstrate above average soccer skills. Professional Coaching monthly fee is determined by
their current level of the coaching license at the start of the soccer year. Practices will be held 2
or more times weekly at a designated field. The Coach of each team will make all decisions as
to when, where and how many times per week practice will be held. Each player will receive a
schedule of all practices and notification of any cancellations as soon as the information
becomes available.
3
Tournaments
Each team will make an effort to play in tournaments for the soccer season. The coach, in
consultation with the team manager, will select the tournament. Holidays and weekends may
be affected. Expect overnight stay for at least 1 of the tournaments that will be selected. The
expenses for travel and hotel accommodations are the total responsibility of the Parent/Player.
Complaints
Complaint(s) about money, fundraisers, coaching, disagreements, etc. should be brought to the
attention of the team manager/coach first. These complaints should be expressed at a
convenient time for the coach and/or manager and should never be discussed in the presence
of any player or during a game, practice, or tournament. Complaints or problems regarding
your child’s soccer performance on and off the playing field should only be discussed with the
team coach. If the problem cannot be resolved to the parent’s satisfaction, then the parent
may call the board president to express your concerns.
Conflicts
All players participating in other activities and/or sports functions must keep in mind that
choosing to participate in competitive soccer or any other sports event takes commitment.
When the decision is made to participate in competitive soccer, it should take priority over any
other activity (school functions are the exception).
