Generous Living
Every person is valuable in God's economy. God values the roles of those serving
behind the scenes as much as those serving up front. "The share of the man who
stayed with the supplies is to be the same as that of him who went down to the
battle. All will share alike." 1 Samuel 30:24
Pastor Traveling
Pastor Arp and Lois are away this week enjoying some vacation time with their
10-year old grandchildren, Joshua and Grace. After some camping fun in Georgia,
North Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky they will return home Saturday. Please
keep them in your prayers for a safe and memorable trip.
Graduate Information Needed
Each year we enjoy celebrating the accomplishments of our youth. If you or a loved
one is graduating from high school, college, tech school, or basic training camp,
we’d love to hear about it. Please send an email to [email protected] with the
information. We will list the received information in the announcements in early
June. Be sure to include any special awards, scholarships, or future plans. If you are
an alumni of St. Luke’s School, please tell us what year you graduated from here.
Kids of HOPE Food Collection
Each summer Kids of HOPE provides lunches for children who usually receive lunch
through school in the Free and Reduced Lunch program. Because many of these
children prepare the meals on their own, donations need to be individual serving
size, ready-made items such as mac-n-cheese, soups, mini-pasta cans, cereal/
oatmeal, granola bars, shelf-stable milk, and fruit cups. Low-sugar items are
appreciated. Donations can be left in the white collection bins at the exits through
June 26th. Contact Laura Hall with any questions: [email protected].
Afternoon LWML
Please join the Afternoon LWML Tuesday, June 6th at 12:00, noon in the Fellowship
Hall for a Potluck Luncheon. We will wish a fond farewell to our Vicar and pack and
present 50 backpacks for Kate's Hope to the Seminole County Sheriffs Department.
2018 Spain/Portugal - The Iberian Peninsula Trip
If you have questions or want to learn more about the St. Luke's group trip (lead by
Pastor Schuschke) traveling to Portugal and Spain in May 2018, an informational
meeting is scheduled for today, June 4th at 12:15pm in the Cafe (Detailed
brochures will be available at the meeting and at the church office Reception
Desk).

Calling all bakers!

volunteering their time to serve in this ministry to
help share God's love and reach children in our
community. If you are able donate any snacks or
yummy baked goods to help energize our
volunteers, please drop them off in the church
office by Wednesday at the latest. Thank you!
