2017 King William Little League All-Star Commitment Form
King William Little League (KWLL) provides boys and girls the opportunity to participate in sanctioned All-Star
Tournaments following the end of the regular Little League season. To be considered, players must have played in at
least 60% of the games played by his/her team during the regular season. It is a great honor and accomplishment to be
selected to the All-Star team. KWLL All-Stars are expected to exhibit the highest level of sportsmanship and playing
ability and to be team players at all times.
KWLL will select All-Stars in the beginning of June and practice starts immediately after the All-Star players have been
announced. The District 15 All-Star tournaments are held in late June and early July and the State tournaments are held
in mid to late July. Regional and National tournaments are held through mid- August. Practices begin in early June and
are held for two hours up to 6-7 days a week as long as the team continues to win. PLAYERS ARE EXPECTED TO
ATTEND ALL PRACTICES AND GAMES AS LONG AS THEIR TEAM HAS NOT BEEN ELIMINATED.

King William Little League.
By signing this commitment, I agree to all of the following conditions:

I will attend and participate in all practices and games, other than excused absences from practice. Practices will
begin immediately after the KWLL regular season.

I understand that the KWLL All-Star teams are playing to win and I may spend a significant amount of time on the
bench. I will wait my turn and will support my teammates enthusiastically.

I will at times display the highest level of sportsmanship and exhibit good behavior to my coaches, parents,
teammates and opposing teams.

I understand that my failure to honor these commitments may result in my dismissal from the team.

BY SIGNING THIS FORM, THE PLAYER WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR SELECTION TO THE APPROPRIATE KWLL
ALL-STAR TEAMS, BUT THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT THE PLAYER WILL BE SELECTED.
I, the parent/legal guardian of the above named player hereby give approval for my child to participate in any and all
tournament activities and agree to make my child available for all activities through the District 15 tournament and all
subsequent tournaments for which the All-Star team qualifies. I understand that KWLL will consider legitimate excuses for
missing a minimum number of practices such as school sanctioned events. I understand that I must pay all expenses
related to my child’s participation, including approximately $75 to cover the cost of the uniform.
I agree to let the manager and coaches coach my child and understand that my child may not start and may only play the
minimum time required by Little League rules.
