TRAINING OBJECTIVE(S):
The purpose of this training week is to teach dribbling.
1. Keep ball close for control. 2. Keep head up. 4. Move to the open space 4. Soft first touch
I. WARM-UP
1- players dribble in area weaving in and out
of each other. Coach calls area of foot. 2.
Foot drills: Tic toc, pull push, toe tap, sole
role, magic trick, scrub the dirt. 3. Juggle:
drop the ball to the foot, kick the ball up and
catch. Same with thigh. Increase repititions as
capable. 4. Technical dribble: players on line
and dribble to opposite line - return. Include
tic toc, roll forward, pull back, side role.

ORGANIZATION (Physical Environment / Equipment / Players)
20'x20' area; 1 ball per player; ~8 players.
Place half (4) of the players on oppisite sides
of the box. Players dribble the ball and
attempt to tag opposing team player's shin
guard. Tagged player moves out of box. Team
wins by having last player on field or the most
players when time runs out.
Played with each player individually.

Shin guard tag. 4 cones to make box 25'x25'. 1 ball per player. Two color pinnies x 4
Place half (4) of the players on two sides of
the box at a right angle. Players dribble to
other side of box, turn around and return to
the starting side = 1 lap. The players cross
each other's path. Most laps wins.
3 intervals small box & 3 intervals with large
box.

1-emphasize different foot surfaces. 2-assist in performing correctly. 3-correct shape of foot
and leg, surface striking ball. 4-asist in performing correctly, move only as fast as can
perform correctly.
