Vice President Ari Solomon is says Senator Dudanowicz and him went to the Campus Health and Safety
Committee meeting today. They discussed having a Safety Walk in the spring. Vice President Solomon
mentions that the Student Welfare and Transitions Committee will be having their first meeting next
Tuesday November 12th from 5-6pm in the Senator’s Office. He also mentions that the Elections
Committee starting up should be smaller this semester and he suggests that the Senate should increase by
two or three members. President Lim mentions that he prefers an even numbered senate so he suggests
having an increase to eighteen or twenty members.
V. Speaker’s Report
Senator/Speaker of Senate Jasmine Gonzalez likewise comments on seeing random people in the office
lately and that she had to ask them to leave. They were using the computers and they did not say who let
them in. Senator/Speaker of Senate Gonzalez asks that the senators not let random people in the office
and if they see them in there to ask them to leave. She asks the senators to be more considerate when it
comes to people in the office as all the senators leave their belongings in the office.
VI. Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer Lila Lu presents a detailed report showing the recent allocations made as well as how much the
ASG still has for spending which is $28,197.92. (Please see the attached report for details)
VIII. Committee Reports
Social Welfare and Transitions Committee:
The first meeting will be held Tuesday November 12th from 5-6pm in the Senator’s Office.
Advertising and Graphic Designs Committee:
Senator Solomon says they should utilize Facebook as a meeting platform since everyone has been very
busy with classes and exams. Senator Kashi has created a new gorgeous website for the ASG. It has
contact info, the constitution, and even recent minutes. Senator Kashi gets a round of applause for his
incredible work. Senator Kashi asks if anyone has any suggestions for the website to just forward them to
him. Also he asks if the Social Events Committee can let him know of upcoming events so he can post
them on the website.
Finance Committee:
Senator Solomon says there is an advisory committee every two years and ASGs can suggest an increase
to the student activities fee. He says that the committee will probably suggest a $10 increase to the current
$30 fee, making it $40 a semester and $80 per year. It is a very long process but he hopes that by the time
the campus officially transitions to Hartford that the new fee will be in place. The Greater Hartford
Campus has the lowest activities fee of the five regional campuses yet we have the most students of all
the regional campuses. That is why an increase to the student activities fee is going to be suggested.
Social Events Committee:
Senator Davis says that next week will be a break from events and will be used as a planning week for
more events.

Asian American Society:
The Asian American Society is asking if they can repurpose $350. They are going to cancel their Wheel
of Fortune and Tea Ceremony events and instead have a Karaoke night. This event will be held next
Thursday at 6:30 pm in the auditorium. Senator Gonzalez motions to repurpose $350 to Karaoke
