Walk around proposed build area Cheltenham
Starting from Stantons Drive, Swindon Village:
Continue along Stantons Drive, Dark Lane on your left and turn right into Manor Road.
Pass Manor Court on the left and at the bottom of the slope turn right through
kissing gate sign posted for Stoke Orchard 21/2 miles.
Follow alongside hedge on right side of field. At gateway and stile, follow yellow marker
keeping alongside hedge and look for wooden bridge through hedge.
Follow yellow marker keeping to left hedge and footbridge over River Swilgate.
Cross river and ploughed field to kissing gate.
Cross Dog Bark Lane (Ancient Highway) and through kissing gate
keeping to right hedge of field, walking towards church tower.
At next kissing gate cross the Green Lane to next kissing gate,
continue across field keeping close to wire fence on the right.

Pass through kissing gate and walk adjacent to pond (old cart wash) through next
kissing gate and short distance to Elmstone Hardwicke Lane. (Be aware of road vehicles)
Follow lane, passing Chosen View Farm on right towards Elmstone Hardwicke Church
continue past Old School and enter Lowdilow Lane.

Starting from Orchard End, Elmstone Hardwicke:
Leave Orchard End, walk down Lowdilow Lane, Hill View Farm on the left.
Continue on past a restricted byway on the right (Dog Bark Lane) to Lowdilow Farm
on your right.

Leave Lowdilow Lane and continue directly on to the Bridle Way,
cross the River Swilgate to the Hyde Brook, at this point turn right through a kissing gate
and follow footpath sign to Swindon Village 2miles.

Head diagonally across the field to a farm gate to left of a large oak tree; the embankment of
Wingmoor Farm Landfill Site is on your left.

At the gate follow the yellow sign walking parallel to the river (past water trough) to stile with
marker. From stile follow track to next stile.
Head across ancient ridge and furrow field to stile at opposite right hand corner of the field.
Follow indicator arrow and track adjacent to river; pass large oak tree with attached marker.
Climb stile besides river and follow indicator arrow, pass through gap in hedge.
At the footbridge over the river, bear left and walk towards a cream coloured bungalow,
keeping to left hand hedge. Pass stile and walk to kissing gate onto Stantons Drive.
