HOW TO PARTICIPATE
On-the-spot registration*
RULES FOR WYSTWYC:

Each team should have 2 members.

Not more than 02 teams can participate from a college.

Output will be shown to the teams and they have to code according to the output.

Total time allowed is 20 minutes to write the code.

There should not be any use of unfair means; if this happens then the team will get disqualified.

Teams have to put the files on the desktop and inform the coordinator when they finish programming.

Winners will be decided on the basis of time taken in making the programs.

Teams have to press Buzzer after making the program.

Maximum number of teams should not be more than thirty.

Khul Ja Sim Sim (THE TREASURE HUNT)
Time: 10:00-11:00 AM

KHUL JA SIM SIM … after listening these words, the picture that comes to our mind is a huge door, behind which there is a
lot of wealth in the form of precious metals, money, jewels, or plate. Khul Ja Sim Sim (The Treasure Hunt) is a fun game
where a group of participants are given a clue about a particular place. The participants have to think over and understand the
clue and try to find the place. When they find the place, they discover another clue, yet again leading to a certain place. The last
clue will lead the participants towards a treasure. This completes the treasure hunt.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE

RULES & REGULATIONS
1.
Duration of the event: 01 hour.
2.
Only one team is allowed per college.
3.
Maximum 10 teams will be registered on FIRST CUM FIRST SERVE BASIS
4.
02 participants per team.
5.
Clues will be hidden, which have to be found and treasure is to be found in the shortest time.
6.
Point value will be assigned for each clue that is found during the treasure hunt.
7.
Teams should pick up only one copy of the clue at each location.
8.
If any team that tries to physically obstruct the hunt for the other teams, it would be disqualified.
9.
Outside help is not permitted during the treasure hunt.

THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE

Infosys to Microsoft & from Sachin Tendulkar to Brett Lee. It is time to wake up the true quizzer in you. The ultimate test of
knowledge is here:
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
To compete the teams must register themselves latest by 09:30am on 07th February 2013.
RULES & REGULATIONS:
1.
The Quiz will consist of four qualifying rounds: KAROBAAR/ TECHNORUN, BOLLYWOOD BUZZ, SPORTS &
DISCOVERING INDIA respectively.
2.
Only one team per college with minimum maximum of 02 participants in a team is allowed.
3.
No team should consist of participants from different colleges / institutions.
4.
Quizmaster’s decisions will be final and binding on all teams.
5.
Additional rules may be announced at the time of the event.

YOU ARE THE DIFFERENCE – REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE

Recycling is what we work on a part of GO GREEN GO ORGANIC campaign because when you refuse to reuse, it’s our
Mother Earth you abuse. So, make something useful and attractive from waste products…and win attractive prizes!!!!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE

To compete in the GO GREEN GO ORGANIC campaign, teams must register themselves latest by 30th January 2013.
RULES & REGULATIONS

Theme GO GREEN GO ORGANIC.

Only one team per college with maximum of 02 students per team.

Participants will bring raw material of their own.

Time limit: One hour.

Negative marks for exceeding time limit.


In this event, there will be two rounds in which you have to reduce the codes in minimum time.

Not more than 2 students will be allowed to participate from a college.

There is no team, participant will perform individually.

Time limit: 1/2 hour (for 2 rounds)

Participants will be judged on the basis of Time, Accuracy, Logics, and Length of Code.

Maximum number of participants should not be more than thirty.

Participants have to press Buzzer after making the program.

BUG FINDER



CLASH OF BRANDS

…….the Brands are expanding and so is the World.
Brands define a product. When one says that he/she owns a pair of shoes and when the same person says that he/she owns a
pair of Nike shoes, it makes a lot of difference!!! Nike, Adidas, Pepsi, Hero Honda…and many more are some of the top
brands, people love to be associated with.
The event ‘Clash of Brands’ is a sales promotion technique that compares the products or services of one undertaking with
those of other competitors. And so here is AN OPPORTUNITY!!!... for budding professionals to stretch their wings and soar
above the sky.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE

To compete in the CLASH OF BRANDS, teams must register themselves with the finalized Brand latest by 30th January
2013.
RULES & REGULATIONS

Only one team per college.

Minimum maximum of 04 students per team.

MAXIMUM 08 Teams can participate.

Select a Brand in a particular product category.

Promote the brand in an innovative way.

Standard promotional materials such as: Posters, Pamphlets, Samples, Flex, Banners, Boards etc are to be used for
promotion.

The area for brand promotion will be 4x5 feet (approx).

Presentation to be made on the brand promotion (Time limit Maximum of 08 minutes).

Negative marks for exceeding time limits.

Participants may use Ad film (Jingle, Voice-over & Video Mixing).

Do not include the existing taglines or ads in the presentation or ads. Innovative ideas are encouraged.

The teams are supposed to sell the given product and convince the jury to buy the same. Buzzer will be rung at the end of
06 min to remind the participants about time and the final buzzer will be rung after 08 minutes.

This will be followed by a Question & Answer session for 02 min.

Each team will have to create a website using HTML

Maximum time allowed is 30 minutes

The teams will be provided with Internet so that they can make the site more advanced.

The participants will not be allowed to use any external device / paper etc.


Winner will judged on the basis of design, looks and number of components used in the website

ON-THE SPOT PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION

SCREENING ROUND
Theme: FACES @ GIBS
Zenith attracts people from all walks of life. The happy, smug, amused, disgusted and angry expressions are all there. Capture
your favorite one.
RULES FOR THE SCREENING ROUND

Composition, lightning technique and presentation are the main components of the competition.

You can use any type of camera and digital camera but make sure it is presentable.

Editing Photographs through Photoshop is not allowed (cropping is allowed).

Each entry must be the original creation of the entrant and should not contain any third party content which is not the
property of the contestant.

GIBS reserve the right to disqualify entries with offensive or inappropriate content.

On the day of screening, the photographs will be presented in front of the judges and audience through the projector.
Candidates are required to bring the data cables as well.

Participants may click as many photographs they like but they have to submit 2 best photographs for the judgment.

Short listed participants will go for the finale round on Day 02.

You've got a Minute to Win It. The game will feature students competing in 60-second challenges with objects for a shot at
amazing prizes. Each level offers new twists. If they do, they advance to the next level and win attractive prizes. If they are
unable to do so, they are eliminated from the game.

CULTURAL EVENTS

SOLO SINGING (INSTRUMENTAL/KARAOKE)
Time: 10:00-11:00am

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

To participate, teams must register themselves latest by 30th January 2013 before 10:00 AM. If the number of entries
exceeds 10, then a screening round will take place on the day of the event.
RULES FOR SOLO SINGING:

The time limit is 2-3 minutes

Participants will have to bring their own karaoke or instrument

Participant will have to submit their CD karaoke in advance.

An instrumentalist can accompany a vocalist.

Judgment will be based on talent, rhythm, voice quality and performance.

RANGOLI
Time: 10:00- 11:00am


The theme for the event if “COLOURS OF INDIAN YOUTH”

Two members in every group.

Time limit 1 hour.

Use of flowers, colors, etc is allowed.

Designing should be done on the spot.

Disqualification is possible if found cheating.

Places will be allotted then and there.

Decision of the judges will be final and binding.

MASQUERADE – THE FACE PAINTING AND HAIR DO COMPETITION
Venue: Room 101 (1st Floor)
Time: 11:00-11:45am
HOW TO PARTICIPATE

On-the-spot registration*
RULES FOR THE FACE PAINTING AND HAIR DO COMPETITION:

Theme will be given on the spot.

Teams can consist of maximum 3 members, out of which 2 members can paint and make the hair do.

Painting is to be done by brushes, paints and sponge. Candidates have to carry their own material.

The painting should not extend below the neck (however neck may be included).

Time Limit: 45 minutes.

No external help like internet is allowed during the event.

NUKKAD NAATIKA (STREET PLAY)

RULES FOR NUKKAD NAATIKA:

Time limit: 10 minutes.

Play should be in Hindi only.

Number of participants per team: 5-10

Play should revolve around social cause or convey any social message.

Each member of a team should perform in the act.

Negative marking if the time exceeds.

Maximum 5 teams will be registered on FIRST CUM FIRST SERVE BASIS.

GRAFFITI WAR
Venue: Room 103 (1st Floor)
Time: 12:00- 1:00 PM
HOW TO PARTICIPATE

On-the-spot registration*
RULES AND REGULATIONS

Theme of the Event – “GO TOBACCO FREE”.

Team size: 3-4 members.

Teams have to bring their own paints, sprays, and brushes. Stencils are allowed and can be brought by the participants.

Area for graffiti will be 5ft by 6ft.

Time limit: 01 hour.

No external help such as internet will be allowed during the event.

Judgement will be based on design and creativity.

SOLO DANCE
Time: 12:30 - 1:30 PM

HOW TO PARTICIPATE


RULES AND REGULATIONS

Maximum Number of entries: 08

Time limit 4-5 minutes.

Participant will have to bring their song in CD or pen - drive.

CD’s should be properly tagged with the song name, participant name.

What type of props you are using should be informed earlier. Props related to fire will be prohibited.

Judgement will be based on performance, costumes, expressions and song selection.
EVENT: 7
GROUP DANCE
Time: 1:30 – 2:30
Venue: AUDITORIUM
HOW TO PARTICIPATE

To compete, teams must register themselves by submitting their CDs having 4 to 5 minute performance (it should be a part
of team's final performance) latest by 30th January 2013.

On the spot registrations will be done if number of Candidates in Pre-registration will be less than 08.

CD’s should be properly tagged with the group/college name, participant name and phone no.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
PRELIMS

There is restriction on the use of fire or any inflammable object and glass shatter on stage. Disqualification will be awarded
in such a case.

There are no marks for costumes as well as props in the prelims.

Shortlisted teams will be communicated for final round.

All dance forms are allowed (Free style dance).
FINALS

Selected teams will perform in the final round that is to be held in the giBS Campus on 09 th February 2013.

Teams have to submit their song CD to the event coordinators latest by 11am on 09th February 2013.

Time limit for the performance should be 5-6 minutes. In case of exceeding the time limit negative marking will take place.

The team should be of 4-6 members. Also, there should be at least 02 members on stage at any point during the
performance.

All Dance forms are allowed (Free style dance).

Participants will be judged on the basis of dancing style, coordination, costume, expressions and choreography.

Teams have to bring their own props, costume and make up.

There is restriction on the use of fire or any inflammable object and glass shatter on stage. Disqualification will be awarded
in such a case.
EVENT: 8
ON-THE SPOT PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION
Time: 2:30-3:30PM
FINALE ROUND
Theme: MOTION BLUR PHOTOGRAPHY
Venue: Room 102 (1st Floor)
Motion blur is the effect produced by fast moving objects in a still image. So, capture best motion blur photos at fast moving
Zenith 2012.
RULES FOR ON THE SPOT PHOTOGRAPHY

Same as that for the Screening round.

On the day of finale the photographs will be presented in front of the judges and audience through the projector.
Candidates are required to bring the data cables as well.

Participants may click as many photographs they like but at the end of each day they have to submit 2 best photographs for
the judgment.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Maximum number of participants: 10 each for Mr. & Ms. Zenith

There will be three rounds.

In the first round each participant has to give his or her introduction in 2 minutes along with ramp walk.

There will be elimination after first round.

In second round they have to show their talent.

There will be again elimination after second round.

Third round will be question – answer round.
* NOTE: For on-the-spot registration, the registration closes 01 hour before the scheduled time of the event. However,
for all the events, registrations are welcomed before also.
