______Dogs that do not regularly interact with other dogs are socially naïve and
inexperienced which puts them at a greater risk of incidents, including, but not limited to
bites, fights, aggression and/or other undesirable behaviors.
______Dogs may experience joint and muscle discomfort, fatigue, and/or sore paws
(bruises, blisters, abrasions) if they are not regularly exposed to the activity levels and
surfaces at Andover Boarding Kennel.
______Dogs may become dirty, muddy or matted when playing with other dogs. For a
fee of $6 we will gladly rinse any mud or dirt that they might get into while here. We try
and ask for an estimated pick up time in order to have your dog ready to go when you
need him/her. If we do not ask and you are on a time restriction please give us advance
warning or call ahead so we can have your dog ready for you.
______We offer bathing/grooming services at Andover Boarding Kennel. You should be
aware that if your pet is brought in to play and get a bath/groom, we cannot guarantee
how much play time he/she will get. We sometimes have a lot of baths/grooms and must
do them in an order that fits our busy schedule in the groom room.
______I understand Andover Boarding Kennel cannot accept any dogs with a history of
climbing fences, excessive barking, or severe separation anxiety.
______Water is available throughout the day. Your dog may seem very thirsty after a
day of daycare, a lot of dogs simply are too busy to stop and drink. Monitor your dog’s
food and water intake after daycare to prevent stomach upset or other problems.
______I agree to inform Andover Boarding Kennel of any changes in my dog’s health or
behavior. I also agree to leave sick pets at home. If your dog is not feeling well (i.e.,
diarrhea, lethargy, vomiting) please leave at home or take to your Veterinarian. We
cannot accept any ailing dogs because or potentially contaminating the healthy dogs.
______I agree to notify Andover Boarding Kennel of any changes in contact information
such as address changes or phone number changes.
______Andover Boarding Kennel closes promptly at 6:00 Monday-Friday. Late charges
will apply and be added to my account for any pick ups past closing.
______I agree to pay for doggie day care services on a weekly basis. We cannot allow
services rendered to extend longer than a week.
______As an owner I understand that playtime can be rough and tumble. Owners must
realize dogs’ play with their mouths not their hands like humans and basic play
sometimes ends with scrapes, bumps, bruises, abrasions, occasional bite wounds etc.
This happens in all daycares and can also happen here.
______I realize that well over 50% of all dogs are not suited for the daycare
environment, and just because I might get told that my dog is not able to do doggie day
care does not mean my dog is a bad dog or even an aggressive dog.
______I realize that all dogs playing in daycare must be spayed/neutered by the age of
6 months in order to continue playing.
______While all the dogs participating in daycare at Andover Boarding Kennel are
required to be vaccinated, have a negative heartworm test, and be on monthly
heartworm & flea prevention, I understand that there is always a chance of passing an
undetected contagious disease or illness.
______I understand that Andover Boarding Kennel gives all dogs involved in any type of
incident a cursory examination. We, at Andover Boarding Kennel, will do our best to
communicate to you any injuries or incidents to the best of our ability. Andover Boarding
Kennel recommends that you examine your dog further and seek Veterinary care at your
discretion and cost.
______All dogs coming into our facility must be on a monthly flea prevention and
monthly heartworm prevention. Any dog found to have external parasites (fleas or ticks)
or intestinal parasites (round, whip, hook or tapeworms) will be treated at the owners’
expense.
______We at Andover Boarding Kennel understand our clients are busy and do not
always have the time or ability to keep up with daily/weekly ear cleanings, nail trims,
hygiene clips, anal gland expression etc. and would be glad to help you with any of
these on request. A charge will apply for any of these services.
______Daycare hours are Monday thru Friday 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
______We do have inclement weather days. Some difficult days for us usually are on
extreme days such as very hot days, very cold days, rainy days, icy, or a lot of snow
days. Please call ahead on these days for availability due to limited indoor space.
Andover Boarding Kennel takes all reasonable steps to provide a safe and stimulating
environment for dogs in its care. I acknowledge and understand that every dog reacts
differently and that animals by nature are unpredictable. Should my pet become injured,
get sick or seem to be in need of medical assistance, the facility reserves the right to
administer aid and/or seek veterinary assistance at our hospital Andover Veterinary
Clinic. Any expenses so incurred shall be paid by you, the owner, in addition to other
fees for services provided by Andover Veterinary Clinic.
I certify that my dog is in good health and has not been ill with any communicable
conditions within the last 30 days. I also certify that my dog has not harmed or
demonstrated aggressive or threatening behavior toward any human being and/or
another animal. I further certify that I have reviewed, understand and comply with each
item above and understand Andover Boarding Kennel’s rules and regulations.
