Addressable technology at a conventional price
Using standard wire, no shielded or twisted pair required, the addressable detectors give you the
powerful features and benefits of addressable technology in a conventionally priced package. Drift
compensation greatly reduces nuisance alarms, maintenance alert reduces repeat service calls,
and point status meets calibrated smoke test requirements for NFPA 72
Silent Knight Simplicity
Addressable panel complexity has been taken out of this innovative addressable control and
replaced with Silent Knight simplicity. Simple installation, simple programming, and simple user
interface all combine for a quick installation and reliable fire protection for which Silent Knight is
known.

Frequently Asked Question
Question: When connecting to the 5600 via the Ethernet port I receive an error "Cannot find page", "Unable to open page", etc. What is the
problem and how can I establish this connection?
Answer: The 5600 fire alarm control panel is configured to search for a DHCP server once it is connected to the computer through an
standard Ethernet cable.
Your computer must be selected to DHCP
Your Ethernet cable should be straight through connection
The 5600 browser application is compatible with Firefox, IE 7, and IE 8.
When direct connected, it will normally take about 40 seconds to display the IP address on the 5600 seven segment displays. The panel displays
"IP" while the IP address is being determined during this 40 second search period.. A computer with a Windows operating system may take up
to an additional 1 minute to fallback to the APIPA (Automatic Private IP Addressing) which enables the computer to communicate to the panel.
When the 5600 seven segment displays begin flashing its IP address you will be able to enter the IP address in your computers browser and
begin custom programming.
If the connection fails, check the IP configuration of the computer. The first two values of the computer IP address should match the first two
values of the 5600 panel IP address. If the computer is selected for DHCP and these values do not match, either you computer does not
support the APIPA function the 5600 needs or there is a problem with the cable or computer port. You can select the computer for a static
address and match the first two values of the 5600 IP address. If you still are unable to establish a connection try replacing the Ethernet cable.

Product Application
Take Advantage of Addressable Benefits at a Conventional Price
Are you currently using 2-5 zone conventional fire alarm control panels? Consider using the 5600 fire alarm control panel on you next convenience
store, strip mall, small office building or sprinkler supervisory installation. Take full advantage of the addressable benefits the 5600 has to offer. Drift
compensation significantly reduces nuisance alarms, point status eliminates manual sensitivity calibration testing, and maintenance alert reduces
repeat service calls. Don't forget the 5600 includes the value of a built-in dialer that the majority of conventional panels you need to purchase
separately.
