Give OUT Day May 9, 2013 Create a Team Fundraising Page for your
favorite LGBTQ nonprofit – 101
So you want to participate in Give OUT Day but don’t know how. Here are
some quick steps to help you set up a team fundraising page for the
LGBTQ nonprofit of your choice for Give OUT Day.
1. Let your favorite organizations know that you are interested in
raising money for them. If they are not signed up (when you search
on www.giveoutday.org) then encourage them to! Tell them that
you would LOVE to support their cause but that they MUST register
first with Give OUT Day (it’s FREE to register).
2. Go to www.giveoutday.org
3. Go to the very bottom of the website.
4. Make your way to the bottom right part of the page to
“Fundraisers,” hit the blue “Create a Page” button (see image
below).
5. On the right click “Create a Team” (see image below).
6. Under “Cause” write in the nonprofit’s name (it should
automatically be an option to select) and then under “Team Title”
name your Team, set your goal and customize your page!
7. Recruit Team members and compete with other teams! Good luck!
8. Spread the word!
9. On June 10th, 2013 Razoo will send a check to the nonprofit of your
choice for the full amount fundraised on Give OUT Day.
Please note that in order for the donations to count for Give OUT Day they
must be made ON May 9th, 2013. Please advise your donors and team
members that there is a way to pre- schedule a gift in order for it to count
for Give OUT Day.
